East released a cocky laugh that didn’t reach his eyes. They remained affixed in a hard stare on Asako. He was annoyed.
“Damn,” Pia said lowly, feeling slightly bad for the woman. But then again, she didn’t really care. Folks either knew East or learned about him quickly. Apparently this woman wasn’t a quick study.
“On your desk where?” East pulled his eyes from Asako, dismissing the conversation. He was done, whether she was or not.
“Corner, left. Pia put them shits in a pink folder,” he groaned, cutting his eyes at her briefly. She smirked and shrugged.
“I like pink and I knew you wouldn’t lose them if I put them in that folder.”
“Nah, you like to be funny. That’s all.”
Pia smiled harder. “But you didn’t lose them, did you? You’re welcome, babe.”
“Y’all might as well fuck and get it over with,” East groaned over the two of them and their back and forth.
“Man, hell nah. She can’t handle this dick. I’ll fuck up her entire life and her hereafter too,” Numbers teased before he stood upright, leaving the counter and stepping to Asako. “But I bet you can.”
Asako wanted to agree. In her head she was screaming hell yeah. She wanted Numbers’ attention, however, sheneededEast’s attention.
“Y’all work that out.” East chuckled and turned to leave with Asako right on his heels. When he rounded the corner and felt her behind him, he turned quickly, his large hand gripping the front of her neck while her back made contact with the wall. East pushed up against her with venom in his eyes and annoyance etched on his face. Asako was turned on. He smelled so damn good and the rough way he handled her had her panties drenched.
“Why the fuck you trying so hard when I told you I’m not interested?”
She smiled seductively, attempting to calm the pounding in her chest. “Because when I see something I want, I do whatever necessary to get it.” Asako pushed her small hands betweenthem and felt around until they gripped the thickness she knew was there.
East looked down where he felt her hands but was unable to see them because they stood so close. “Shawt…” East paused, thinking of Joi. He wouldn’t disrespect her by addressing another woman with a title he donned her with. It had a different adoration and meaning when he spoke it in relation to Joi. One he wasn’t willing to demean by delivering to another woman. “Baby girl, just because my dick is hard doesn’t mean I want anything from you. I don’t work that way. I’m telling you now, and for the last time. I’m not interested. So do yourself a favor and back the fuck off me before you end up on my bad side.”
His voice was smooth, calm, and threatening. The icy tone he delivered had Asako quickly removing her hands from his person. The only reason she didn’t drop her eyes was because his held her captive with a final warning. When East was sure she got the message, he released her and walked away.
By the time he reached Numbers’ office, which was across from his, Numbers was walking in behind him. He reached for the pink folder and handed it over to his boy.
“Shorty is trouble. The good kind for me but the bad kind for you.”
“She isn’t a damn thing for me. Trust.”
Numbers grinned, raising one brow slightly higher than the other. “Damn lil baby got you like that? Shit, hook me up. She have a sister, cousin, shit I’ll rock with a mama or an aunt too. Who’s in the lineup?”
East smirked, shaking his head, amused by his boy but the moment didn’t last long.
“You handing out tattoos to your silly hoe team members too?” Numbers and East both looked to the door to find an annoyed Joi with an unpleasant look on her face. East wasn’t bothered in the least. That scowl of hers was sexy as fuckaccompanied by the short ass T-shirt dress she wore. It was loose around her body, but he knew that body intimately, so his dick was already growing.
“Silly hoe team members? The fuck is that?” Numbers’ eyes darted back and forth between East and Joi, waiting.
“He has a team of silly hoes who like to stay in his face. Their goofy asses don’t understand boundaries. I’m sure you know all about them.” Joi kept her eyes on East while she addressed Numbers and East smiled harder. She must have seen Asako leaving and is pissed with me, but she doesn’t have a reason to be.
“Nah, I don’t know shit about that but I’ma get with him later. Sounds like something I’m down for.” Numbers chuckled as he moved to the door, but East stopped him.
“We’re going to my office.” East knew Numbers was leaving to give them privacy.
Just to fuck with East, Numbers looked right at Joi with a sly grin. “You sure you want to do that, shorty? Mine is much bigger than his.”
“Fam, don’t make me beat your ass.”
Numbers laughed, throwing his hands up in defense. “Chill, man. I meant my office is bigger than yours. You know it is. That little matchbox you have across the hall isn’t hitting on shit. This is my palace. Yours is next door.” Numbers shrugged and turned to leave, winking at Joi on the way out.
She was annoyed about seeing Asako but couldn’t help but smile at Numbers. Every time she was around him, he always said something crazy that had her and everyone else laughing.
“Come on.” East moved past Joi, pressing a kiss to her cheek as he left behind Numbers, crossing the hall to his office. Joi smiled harder when she followed him in and waited for East to shut the door. The space was a lot smaller and only housed a tiny desk with a leather chair behind it and a TV that took up damnnear the entire wall across from it. It was too big for the tiny space.
