Walking up to someone else, we gently ask for directions and somewhere to eat. Leaving the crowd, we made our way to the food booths on the cobblestone street as the lady recommended.

As we arrive at Coral’s Bed and Breakfast, the huge shell entrance is displayed before us. It's an open shell with a door that looks like a pearl enchanted by white shimmerness.
Walking inside, we meet the wonderful owner, Marissa, who leads us towards our room. It was impossible not to fall in love with her flowy, coral dress. The dress had long sleeves that widened around the hands, and it was covered in light orange shiny pearls, just like the ones she had put in her caramel brown hair. The colors suited her well, making her aura radiate confidence and power.
Opening the door, she lets us in. The room is painted in different shades of sandy beige and it’s completely covered in seashells along pearls of different sizes. Handing us the golden key with a wonderful smile on her lips , she leaves us to explore on our own.
We pass through the main room, which features a big wooden table and surrounding chairs. We find our way to the bedroom where we are going to spend our night, only to realize...
There is onlyonebed.
Chapter 10
Ector
Genevieve disappeared from my view, and my eyes couldn’t seem to find her, until they did.
Another man is dancing with her, holding a tight grip around her waist, making her smile.
Uncontrollable jealousy spreads through me quicker than I can process it, and within seconds, I’m already on my way to interrupt their little moment. I’m protecting this woman at all costs. She’s not mine, but seeing her with another man’s hands on her, makes my blood boil.
“Are you staying here? I mean, staying the night?” The guy with awfully long hair asks her.
“Yes,weare staying the night.” I interrupt, which might be wrong, but I don’t give a flying fuck.
All this guy wants is to get skin to skin. It shows in his eyes, the way he looks at her. I’m sure Genevieve doesn’t see it, but that intent doesn’t go unnoticed by another guy.
It’s easy for me to see the intentions behind the look on his face. He thinks she’s pretty, but the way he bites his lip, trying to look seductive is impossible to ignore.
He only wants to get his dick into someone, and that someone willnotbe my sweet angel.

As we enter the room, all I can think of is getting a wonderful night’s sleep. But as the two of us look around for the second bed, we quickly realize there is only one bed.
“I can sleep on the floor, it’s fine.” The words roll off my tongue effortlessly. I’m absolutely not letting her sleep anywhere else but on that bed.
“No, Ector. You shouldn’t sleep on the floor.”
She isn’t selfish, not at all, and something about that is so damn attractive. Many fairies are selfish, only ever thinking about themselves, but she isn’t like that. Of course she isn’t. Her kindness and understanding is messing with me, something I'm not used to.
“Do you want me to get another room?” I ask, wanting to show her the respect that she deserves, wanting her to feel safe around me. Sleeping in another room is the least I can offer.
“No, it’s okay. I think we can manage to sleep beside each other for one night.” She breathes. “It’s not like we’re into each other.”
Is that what she thinks? That I’m not into her? Iadoreher.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
This is going to be tough. I never sleep properly, I often have intense nightmares, sometimes waking up in the middle of the night, shaking, covered in my own sweat. I often dream about memories from my childhood. It’s one of the things I despise the most, the memories won’t even leave me alone in my sleep. They never stop haunting me.
I can’t let that happen tonight. I don’t want her to see that side of me, to scare her off.
The queen-sized bed is draped in a lovely shade of beige, which reminds me of the soft sands of an enchanted shore. The sheets cascading over it are in a beautiful tone of river blue. On the bed sit two decorative pillows shaped like seashells.
