“Oi, Jasper!” a voice yells.
Kieran goes still. “You’re fucking kidding me.”
My stomach drops from my body.
“Did you invite him?” Kieran asks. For the first time in weeks, he sounds pissed at me.
“What? No! Fuck, I don’t — ”
I cut myself off when the thudding turns into footsteps muffled by the tiles in the hallway. “Jasper,” the voice sing-songs.
“Shit!” I look at the closed door, which we locked. I’m pretty sure we locked it. Then I look at the bed. Kieran has his rapidly softening dick out. I’m not wearing anything except for a shirt. The room smells like sex. I havelube on my fingers. “Shit, shit, shit.”
“Just kick him out — ” Kieran hisses.
“Jasper?” The door handle moves. “You in there?”
My body moves of its own accord. “Um, yeah,” I croak. “I, uh…I’ll be just a minute.”
Kieran stares at me, mouth open.
“Why’d you lock the door?” The door handle moves again.
“Just wait a moment,” I shout.
I ignore the snicker on the other side of the door and pull Kieran’s pants up. Then I grab his wrist and pull him up off the bed. “I’m sorry,” I say, pushing his back as I lead him into my wardrobe.
He stares at me, mouth moving, but unable to say anything.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” I say. “I’ll get rid of him as quickly as I can.” I close the wardrobe door.
“What are you doing in there?” A hand knocks against the door. “Hurry up.”
“Just a minute!” I stare at the mess of the bed, my clothes on the ground, the tissues and the lube. Fuck. Then I clean everything up as quickly as I can, shoving anything incriminating into my bedside table drawer, tidying the bed and pulling my clothes on.
The knocking grows more insistent.
Once I think everything looks okay, I open the door. Fin stands before me, wearing a smug smile and his designer sneakers. “Well. You look refreshed. Were you in the middle of a jerk off session?” He laughs at my expression, then pushes himself into my room. “You need to open a window, dude. It smells like spunk in here.”
“What are you doing here?” I ask. “How’d you even get into the house?”
“Relax,” he says, raising his hands in surrender. “You don’t need to be embarrassed, everyone does it.”
“I’m not embarrassed,” I snap. “I’m annoyed.”
“Your sister let me in,” he says.
“Juliet’s here?”
“Yeah. I told you we should hang out. I texted you and everything.”
“I didn’t see it,” I say. I haven’t checked my phone since Kieran arrived. “And that’s besides the point, you can’t just come over whenever you want.”
Fin looks perplexed. “We used to do it all the time.”
“That was before,” I say. “I was busy.”
“You were just jerking off,” Fin says, waggling his brows, amused. “And you’re done now. I can tell. You have that look about you. You know what we should do now? Play some video games — ”
