“Just like that? You’re going to let me date your woman?” Tucker’s brows furrow.
“Oh, don’t get me wrong,” Will laughs. “If you weren’t Nick’s scent match, there would be no way in hell I’d let you get anywhere near my Omega. But I understand scent bonds and how powerful they can be. It’s not going to be easy, though. Nick is a fucking asshole, and the only reason why he still has his dick is because Ian threatened him. Nova and Nick have this fucked up love-hate thing going on and she gets off on it. It doesn't mean I like how my brother treats her sometimes. She’s a woman and his scent match. You’re a man,” Will chuckles. “I don’t even think Nick likes men.”
Tucker’s face pales.
“Don’t let him scare you,” I tell Tucker. “A scent bond trumps everything. It makes everyone a little bi, depending on who your mate is. You will be fine.”
“He’s not homophobic, is he?” Tucker asks, looking between us. “I’m not in any danger for liking men, am I?”
“No,” Will snorts. “We don’t care about the gender people choose to like. Love is love. It’s not your sexuality I’m worried about. He could see past that because of the bond. It’s the fact you're a cop. Nick hates cops.”
“Fuck,” Tucker whispers, his worried eyes finding mine.
“Let’s worry about that later, okay? You won over one Alpha. Now, Ian.”
Will barks out a laugh. “Oh my sweet, sweet Omega. You really did wake up and choose violence today, didn’t you?”
“Maybe.” I bite my lower lip.
“My naughty girl.” Will grips my chin and kisses me until my toes curl. “Be a good girl, okay?”
“Me? Good?” I snort. “You do know who you’re talking to, right?”
“Sorry, how could I ever forget?” he chuckles, nipping at my lip. “Now, go. And good luck.” He looks at Tucker. “You’re gonna need it.”

“I don’t wanna go in,” Tucker whines, staring at the bakery before turning to me. “He’s going to kill me. It’s not even Nick I’m afraid of. That fucker in there is nuts. I can see it in his eyes, he’s crazy.”
I roll my lips together, trying not to laugh, because he’s not wrong. Ian comes off as a sweet, silly guy, but spend some time around him and you’ll notice there are a few screws loose. But that just makes me love him even more.
“Maybe just a little,” I say, holding up my pointer finger and thumb.
“Fuck me,” Tucker groans, leaning his head against the steering wheel.
“Hey, if everything goes well, who knows. Maybe that can happen sooner rather than later,” I offer helpfully. “Something to look forward to.”
Tucker rolls his head to the side and raises a brow. “What?” I ask.
He shakes his head. “Let’s get in there before I lose my nerve and go home to hide in my nest for another week.”
He gets out of the car and I follow after him. “Breathe. Everything is going to be okay. I have Ian wrapped around my little finger. He loves me. If it will make me happy, I know he will be on board. He just might piss on me a little.”
“What?” Tucker looks at me, horrified.
“Oh my god, not literally.” I roll my eyes. “I mean that he is very possessive of me. Like, obsessed. More so than you, if youcan believe that.” I grin. “He’s going to puff out his chest and beat it like a gorilla.”
“Really?” His brows furrow.
“Again, not literally.” I stare at him blankly.
“Oh.”
“Just don’t show any weakness, he can smell fear.”
“It sounds like you’re dragging me into the lion’s den.”
I grab his hand and pull him towards the door. “I mean, I kind of am, when you think about it.”
