“How bad is it?”

“Not too bad. They were just nesting a moment ago. I think we have at least another ten hours before they go into a full heat haze.”

“You think you can handle them until we get back?”

“I’ll try. But I’m not helping Tucker, Nick. I’m sorry, I love you, but I’m not fucking him.”

“Don’t you fucking dare fuck him.” Nick snarls. “He’s mine. Let Nova take care of him when it comes to sex. Help with anything else.”

“Okay. Yeah. I can do that.”

“Are they aware they’ve started their heat?”

“No.” I say. “I don’t think so. They’re not asking for you guys yet.”

“Good, good.” Nick blows out a breath. “We’re on our way.”

He hangs up and I groan. This is going to be one long fucking day.

Nick

Hanging up the phone, I curse. “What's wrong?” Will asks, brows furrowed with confusion.

“That was Ian. We need to leave, now.” I growl.

“Okay, but why? What’s going on? Are Nova and Tucker okay?”

“They’re fine. But, Ian says they’re in their early stages of their heats.”

“Fuck.” Will growls. “Let’s go.”

We tell the men we’re heading out with or without them.

The whole drive back, I’m a fucking mess. Of course, out of all the times for them to go into their heats, it’s the one time of the month I’m on a run.

Not just one, but both of them.

If I had any suspicion of either of them showing any signs of their heat, I wouldn't have left.

They have both been on mild heat suppressants, but I guess they were only bound to work for so long.

Just why the fuck did it have to happen when we’re not there?

As soon as we pass the ‘Welcome to St Mary’s’ sign, I feel a bit of relief; we’re almost there.

Every time we stopped to gas up the bikes, I called Ian to check in. The last time I called, Ian said it was getting worse. Notfull blown heat, but they have been going at it for hours. They are aware of the fact that they’ve started their heats and asked for us.

It’s been two hours since the last time we talked and I don’t know what to expect when we get there.

We pull onto our road and I speed up, skidding around the corner and pulling up as close as I can get before shutting the bike off, parking and heading inside, not bothering to see if Will is following or not.

“Thank fuck you’re here.” Ian runs down the stairs with Duchess in one arm, Petunia in the other. “They are scaring the babies.”

“What?” I frown as I shove off my boots and jacket.

“I had to lock these two up in my room because the sounds they are making are very concerning to someone who doesn’t understand what's going on.” He holds them up. “I think they think Tucker is trying to hurt their mommy. Do you know how hard it is to have the sex talk with your daughters?”

“You have got to be fucking kidding me!” I growl. “They’re fucking animals.”
