“By going on dates.” I grin.
“Fine, whatever. Sure,” he grumbles, “if that's what you wanna call it.”
Good enough of an answer for me.
“I’d like that.” I go back to eating my wings.
We talk a bit, about nothing serious. I ask him questions and he gives me short answers but I still find myself getting to know him better.
“Let’s go.” Nick says, getting up.
“Go where?” I ask, following after him.
“You’re coming home with me. I’m tired and I need sleep.”
“But, my car.” We get outside and Nick goes to his bike.
“It will be fine here.” He takes his helmet and tosses it to me. “Get on.”
I blink at the helmet, then up to Nick. He sighs and comes over to me, taking it from my hands and putting it on my head.
“Get on the damn bike.” He growls and goes back over to his bike. He gets on and stares over at me.
You know what, fuck it.
Excitement fills me as I straddle the bike.
He starts it up and yells. “Wrap your arms around my waist!"
Sliding my arms around his body, I pray I don’t start perfuming and give myself away with how turned on I am right now.
We pull out of the compound and onto the main road. It’s a thrill as we speed down through the streets, weaving our way around cars. I close my eyes and pray we don’t crash and die.
Nick’s scent fills the helmet, offering comfort.
The ride is over way too soon and I’m sad when I see the turn to their place. I’ve never been a on a bike before, but it’s fun. Don’t think I’ll be learning for myself, but I wouldn’t say no to riding with Nick more.
Nick shuts the bike off and I hand him his helmet as I get off. We head inside and are greeted with the sounds of the TV.
“Hey!” Nova shifts her body to look at us from the couch. “Well isn’t this a nice surprise! Did you come together?"
“I know we did.” Ian chuckles.
Nova laughs, shoving at him. “Shut up.” It only makes him laugh harder.
Guess I know what they were up to at the bakery.
“Ah, yeah. I hung out at the clubhouse for a bit.”
“Oh, yay!” Nova says happily. “What did you doooo?”
I chuckle and Nick just rolls his eyes, heading into the kitchen.
“Played some pool and had something to eat.”
“Like a date?” Ian asks.
Huh. Never thought of like that, but it was pretty much a date, right?
