I swallowed and looked away. “Whatever, Kay’Lo.”
“Oh, a’ight. You wanna play.” He slid even closer, his chest weighin’ me down.
His hand slid from my chin to my throat in one smooth motion. He held me there, grippin’ me by my throat with his thumb under my jaw, tiltin’ my head up so slow it made my knees warm.
“Look. At. Me,” he growled, his voice low and demandin’ as fuck.
I lifted my eyes, and his stare locked on mine. It was dark and full of heat that made every smart ass thought fall out of my head.
“There she go,” he murmured. “That’s what I want. That’s the face I wanna see when I’m talkin’ to you.”
“I ain’t doin’ nothin’,” I mumbled, actin’ like my whole body wasn’t reactin’ to him.
“Stop lyin’,” he said, his grip tightenin’ on my throat, and his thumb strokin’ the side of my neck in this slow, crazy way that told me he knew exactly what he was doin’.
“You got a whole attitude for no reason.”
“I ain’t got no attitude.”
“You think I don’t know you? Girl, I know every version of you. I know the way you breathe when you mad, the way you walk when you irritated, the way you bite your lip when you tryna stop yourself from snappin’. You not slick.”
“Whatever.”
My thighs pressed together on their own when I felt his dick jump against my hip. He smirked ‘cause he felt my pulse jump under his hand.
“Yeah. I knew you felt that.”
I lifted my eyes slow like it took effort, and when I met his, everything in me got weak. His lashes was low, his lips parted and his whole expression was sayin’ he was two seconds from fuckin’ me right here.
“You think I’m scared of yo’ lil’ fucked up ass attitude?” he asked. “You think that shit gon’ push me away? Girl, I eat attitudes for breakfast.”
I tried to hold my face firm and not laugh but the corner of my mouth twitched and he caught it.
“Aww, look at you tryin’ not to smile,” he teased, leanin’ down.
“I’m not smilin’. Move.”
He ain’t move. Instead, he grabbed my waist and pulled me into him. His lips crushed mine, deep and messy and possessive. It was a kiss that left no room to think about anything but him. His tongue slid against mine, and he grabbed my ass with both hands. I melted instantly, and he knew I would.
When he finally pulled back, he looked down at me with that cocky grin I wanted to smack off his face. “Fix your attitude, girl.”
I scoffed, slid out his grip, and walked off with my cup, pretendin’ I still didn’t care. I mumbled somethin’ under my breath without thinkin’.
Kay’Lo’s head snapped up. “What the fuck you say?”
I froze.
He took two slow steps toward me. “Nah. Say it again.”
I turned around, heat crawlin’ up my neck. “I said…I love you.”
His whole expression shifted into this dangerous, satisfied look. “You said you what?”
I lifted my chin. “I said I love you.”
He smirked. “That’s what the fuck I thought. I love you too, girl.”
I tried to roll my eyes again, but he walked up, grabbed my chin, and kissed me so slow and deep I damn near forgot why I was mad in the first place ‘cause that’s what Kay’Lo did to me.
