Bones growled again. “She’s with me.” He looked ready to bite someone’s head off if necessary.

AB crossed his arms. “We’re making a decision, not submitting to your territorial whims.”

“Territorial?” Bones scoffed. “I’m practical.”

“You’re possessive,” Voodoo corrected.

Legend grinned. “And bad at hiding it.”

Bones glared at them. “She issafestwith me.”

The room fell quiet.

A warm, aching softness slid under my ribs.

Because yes—there it was. Not posturing. Not ego.

Just the truth.

They all felt responsible for me, each in their own way. They all cared. A lot. And beneath all the banter they were just trying to figure out how to keep me safest, keep themselves safest, keep the team intact.

Honestly?

I loved them for it.

Finally, I set my empty mug aide aside and held up a hand.

“Okay. Enough. You all need sleep more than you need to fight over who gets to take up half a mattress.” I loved sleeping with all of them, so it wasn’t even a debate on preferring one to the other.

“Quarter,” Legend corrected. “Bones doesn’t just hog the bed, he?—”

“Lunchbox,” Bones said warningly. The air crackled between them as they let off steam in a playful fashion. These men loved each other, and they loved to give each other shit.

I laughed softly. “Here’s what’s happening. We are all exhausted. We can barely keep our eyes open. I’m not sleeping alone and I’m not sleeping on the floor. So the simplest solution?”

Four men blinked at me like I’d just delivered an unexpected plot twist. I shrugged, because rarely did I manage to get one over ononeof them, much less all of them.

“We share a bed.”

There was a beat of silence as they all stared at me.

“We might be a bit snug, but we’ll fit.”

Then:

Voodoo: “Dibs on not being in the middle, I get too warm.”

Legend: “I vote Grace in the middle.”

AB: “That is the only strategically sound configuration.”

Bones: “Fine. But I’m on her left.”

“Why left?” Legend asked.

“Because that’s where I sleep,” Bones said.

“That’s not—” Legend started.
