Slowly getting up from the table, I headed for the door when Pops spoke up. “We’re not done here, Jackson. We need to bring you up to speed on everything. “
Smirking, I turned to look at the man I had admired and loved most of my life. “You made this mess; you clean it up.”
Pops slowly stood, his face hardening as I turned to Nav and said, “I’m leaving. You staying or going with me?”
Nav quickly stood and walked over to me. “I’m with you, brother.”
“Jackson!” Pops shouted. “I’m ordering you to sit back down, son.”
Narrowing my eyes, I glared at the man. “I don’t take orders from dead men.”
Chapter Sixteen
Reaper
Commanche County Courthouse, Lawton, Oklahoma...
Sitting in the back of the courtroom, Montana and I barely listened as the DA droned on and on with all the evidence they had on Pence. It didn’t look good for the soon-to-be former VP of the Diamondbacks. As far as I was concerned, the fucker was getting exactly what he deserved. He played a dirty fucking game and lost.
“Shit’s heating up in Nebraska. After we clear this mess up, what do ya say we head up north for a bit to annoy King?”
Montana smirked. “Sounds like fun. Besides, Bane’s up there. The cranky fucker keeps ignoring my phone calls. Any word about my granddaughter?”
I groaned, narrowing my eyes. “Fuck no, and when I get my hands on that son of a bitch, I’m going to gut him from dick to pie hole.”
“I’ll help.” Montana nodded as Pence’s attorney stood. “What does Luc say?”
“He doesn’t fucking know. Said Logic went radio silent. Haven’t heard shit since they left.”
“They’ve been gone for months.”
“Tell me something I don’t know. For his sake, my daughter better be well taken care of. Which reminds me, Maxim reached out. Apparently one of his men, Aleksandr, is missing. Last seen in Virginia.”
“That’s Sons of Hell territory. You call the other King?”
“Fuck no.” I smirked. “Asshole is still butthurt I didn’t stop Savage from claiming his niece. So I sent Savage to investigate.”
Montana chuckled. “Playing with fire, asshole. King’s former military. You piss him off, and he might just show up in the middle of the night and slice your scrawny neck.”
I smirked. “You’d enjoy that too much.”
“Sure would.” The annoying fuck beamed.
“Anyway, I told him we’d do some digging. See what we could find out.”
“What we?” Montana turned to look at me. “You got a fucking mouse in your pocket? You are the head of the Biker Federation. Not me. I ain’t doing shit.”
“Oh yes you will, fucknuts,” I growled. “You owe me.”
Turning back around, the stubborn fuck crossed his arms and snorted. “I don’t owe you shit.”
I scowled at the son of a bitch. “Vicious.”
Montana rolled his eyes. “You seriously need to let that go. I gave you my answer.”
“Then give me your Alabama Chapter.”
“No,” he simply said as if the matter was closed. “Besides, they aren’t there anymore.”
