Ethan dropped his phone and keys on the table, and said, “Just wanted to make sure marketing’s ready for tomorrow.”
“Or…” Miles angled his body so I was between them, the small space closing in on us even more. “Or we could stop pretending this is still about work.”
When Ethan’s eyes met mine, the world shrank to a point where I could hear nothing but the sound of our breathing. That, and my maddening heartbeat thrumming in my ears. Something shifted low in my belly, and when Miles’ hand came to rest between my shoulder blades, urging me closer to Ethan, I could think of nothing better than to just give in to it.
The look in Ethan’s eyes made my heart flip. “Or we could do that. Stop pretending.”
The silence after that was the kind that rearranged the air and every common sense molecule in my brain. And just like that, every bit of careful distance I’d kept, and every rule I’d made for myself, came undone.
I looked at each of them in turn, trying to figure out what they were thinking. Their meaning was clear as daylight, but… it couldn’t be. Sure, I knew this kind of thing was enjoyed by many. And I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to being at least a little curious…
But being engaged for years had programmed me into thinking about one man, and seeing myself in relation to one man. For the rest of my life. My relatively stale college years had nothing to offer me in terms of experience, either.
Not that it mattered. With Miles’ hand on my back, and Ethan’s gaze annihilating my defenses, I found myself caught between them with a consuming hunger I’d never felt before. A hunger that swept through me with such urgency, it quickly became a need.
For them both.
Here, and now.
So, I kissed him.
I didn’t have to do much. Ethan was right in front of me. All I did was lean in, tilt my chin up, and press my lips to his. A simple gesture. Whether one to accept the invitation or make plain my intentions, I couldn’t be sure. I didn’t know much. This kiss was all I could think to do.
Ethan’s eyes widened in surprise, then he went still. He was the one who’d seconded Miles’ suggestion to stop pretending, but it seemed like my reaction caught him off guard. He didn’t back up, but he didn’t lean in either. Not right away.
I rolled my tongue over his, tracing, swirling, gradually drowning in the light-headed haze enveloping me. It helped to muffle the voice of alarm in my mind, muttering on about how I’d never done anything like this before, and did I think it was a good idea to cross this kind of line? I wasn’t interested in that voice. Not with the warmth of Miles’ body coming closer, hisbreathy whispers of encouragement in my ear that turned the moment molten.
“That’s it… Don’t overthink this…Feelit… Like that… Just like that…”
Ethan’s hands came up to cup my cheeks, fingers twitching as if he didn’t quite know what to do with them. Then one slid into my hair and tugged the tie from my messy ponytail before cradling the back of my head. The other drifted down to my side, his warmth apparent even through my wool sweater.
I deepened the kiss. His rough stubble grazed me, leaving the trace of a burn that soaked beneath my skin and set my insides on fire. Each pass of my tongue made his breath stutter, coaxing my arousal to build and build until I could barely contain myself. As if picking up on it, Ethan pulled me closer, his need matching my own.
The urgency grew, and he kissed me back with a hunger that stole my breath away. Raw intensity searing through my veins, I gasped when he pulled back to drag his teeth along my bottom lip, sucking it in until my fluttering moans melted the last of the hesitation between us.
His hands began to move, slipping under my sweater to coast along the smooth planes of my stomach. He shuddered. Or I did. Then I stumbled back until the edge of the table pressed into my thighs.
“I’ve been wanting to taste you like this for the longest time.” He brushed his lips against mine, and the feel of his hot, trembling breath made them tingle.
“Ethan… This is—”
“Perfect.” Miles appeared at my side. His shirt gone, the top of his pants undone. I could make out the unmistakable bulge there, and it sent my pulse racing. “This is all… just… perfect.”
He lifted my sweater over my head, taking my t-shirt with it, and bent down to press his lips to the dip in my neck. My eyes fluttered closed, a ragged breath hitching when Ethan used his teeth to peel back the black lace of my bra, his mouth closing around my stiff nipple the moment my breast was free. I arched into it, the dizzying sensation of their mouths, their hands… all at the same time. I was breathless with want for it. Damn near desperate.
Miles left a trail of hot, sloppy kisses along my neck, sucking the tender spot just under my ear. I was torn in two, overwhelmed by the breathtaking passion coming at me from all sides. Because Ethan was still going, tugging my nipple between his lips then releasing it, soothing it again with his tongue. Flicking, circling, drawing a luscious moan from deep in my throat.
“I…I’m—” I dropped my eyes and bit the inside of my lip. Jesus. I felt like I was seventeen years old all over again, getting naked with a really hot guy and having no idea what to do after that.
And this time there were two really hot guys.
“I haven’t… done anything like… this before.”
“Just follow our lead.” Ethan traced my waist, and I shivered when his flat palm skimmed the curve of my back. With his other hand, he popped the button on my jeans. “You want this, don’t you?”
All I could think of was his mouth on mine. How much I missed it now that it wasn’t there. His gaze pierced right through me, reaching into the depths of my most illicit desires and stoking them to life.
“You have to answer.” Miles took my hand in his and brought it to the hard-on straining in his pants. I stroked him firmly underhis avid guidance, feeling him grow even harder under my touch. “Tell us you want this.”
