“Nowhere.”
“Good.”
She waited for him to say something else. When he didn’t seem inclined to talk she couldn’t help but fill the silence. And because she’d always been a say it how it is kind of woman, she let her thoughts be known. “This is weird.”
“Weird bad or just weird different?” he asked, the low rumble of his voice vibrating over her skin raising goose bumps.
“Different weird.” She swallowed. “I’ve never woken up in bed with a guy before.”
Nash went rock solid against her, she could imagine the frown on his face. “Define never woken up in bed with.”
“I’m not a virgin.”
“Okay. I still need you to explain.”
He remained still and as much as she liked to be honest, it was hard to reveal things that made her feel inferior in some way. And her limited sexual experience made her feel like the virgin she told him she wasn’t.
Sucking in a deep breath she braced for judgement and dove in. “I told you I’ve never lived with anyone who wasn’t family.”
“You did.”
“Well, I’ve never slept with anyone who wasn’t family either.”
“I’m hoping we’re talking sleep as in visiting dreamland and not sleep as in sex.”
“Really?” She tipped her chin so she could look over her shoulder and see his face, but his closed eyes kept his inner thoughts hidden.
“Just checking.”
“Nash.”
“You’re right, stupid comment.” Opening his eyes, he shuffled them around until they were on their sides facing each other, his arms around her waist and legs tangled with hers. “You’ve never spent the night with a guy?”
“No.”
“Hmm…”
“None of my relationships were that kind.”
“The kind as in the guy sticks around after sex? Or you do?”
“Both I guess.” She shrugged. “I never wanted to stay. And obviously neither did any of the guys I was with.”
“Idiots.”
“What?”
“They were all idiots.” His hold tightened. “Make no mistake. I’m not an idiot and I plan on sticking around.”
A smile tugged at her lips. “I think you’re already stuck.”
“This may be wanted”—he gave her a squeeze to let her know what he was referring to—“but until it’s not forced by the storm of the season it doesn’t count. You won’t trust it.”
Oh. She hadn’t thought of that but his words rang true and she couldn’t stop the rush of uncertainty that flashed through her. “Should we put everything off until we actually have a choice on whether we want to spend time together or not?”
“Fuck no! We’re doing this. We started yesterday when we both agreed to be all in.”
“Right. Okay. So…are we still not having sex yet?” His naked body was plastered against her and his morning erection hadn’t gone unnoticed. “Because…” She rocked her hips into his.
