This was about to be the longest eight weeks of my life.

“Dominic, you don’t have to make my birthday a big deal. I told you that before.”
Thea lounged on my bed, her legs tangled with mine, nothing between us but one of my T-shirts. I loved it when she wore my clothes, even when I never got them back.
I pulled her on top of me and cradled her face. Her smile was wide, her lips and chin chafed from all the attention I’d given her with my mouth, tonight. She laughed as I tickled her side, her golden eyes twinkling as the ends of her tousled chestnut hair tickled my shoulders. She was all lean, mouthwatering curves. It was impossible for me to be in the same room without touching her.
“What if I said …” I trailed off cocking my head to the side. “That I already made it a big deal?”
She narrowed her eyes at my quirked brow.
“What did you do?” She sat up, straddling my waist. The reminder of her being naked under my shirt almost made me lose my train of thought.
I grabbed her hips and pulled her closer, a slow smile pulling at my lips. “We leave for Florida on Friday. My friend has a timeshare in the Keys, and wouldn’t you know, it’s available right now,” I said as I sat up, brushing her tangled waves off her shoulder. “Just you,” I dropped a light kiss on her jaw, “me,” I pressed my lips to the crook of her neck, loving when she shivered in my arms. “And miles of water and sand.”
Her gaze averted mine for a moment. “You planned all of that for me.”
“If you don’t want to go, I’m sure I could find someone else to share that big king-sized bed with, but I’d need to know by Wednesday.”
She pushed against my chest until I fell back. I cracked up when she crashed her mouth into mine, but stopped laughing when her tongue grazed my bottom lip. I was so high on this girl, I couldn’t see straight. My mother and stepfather always teased me about howbad I had itfor Thea, but what I showed barely scratched the surface.
“Wednesday? I could let you know by then.” A wry grin tilted her lips as she rested her chin on my chest.
“Good, because I’d have to start making my way down the list, you know how it is,” I teased.
“I do.” Her smile faded as she roped her arms around my neck. “You’re crazy.” She kissed me slowly as she settled on top of me. An entire weekend with her all to myself would be heaven. Almost every night, she was either in my bed, or I was in hers, but I always hated parting ways in the morning.
No woman before her had owned me like she did. We talked all day long and never ran out of things to say. I always wanted more of her. We’d only been together for a year but I couldn’t remember a time before her. It was as if my life started the random night I ran into her at a bar. Before then, she was someone I knew in passing during high school.
I remembered thinking, was she always this beautiful? And what the hell was wrong with me that I didn’t notice? I took her in that night as if I was seeing her for the very first time, and in a lot of ways I was.
“I’m crazy aboutyou,” I murmured against her lips before I flipped us over. I settled between her legs and cradled the back of her head. “I wish I could do better for us than just a weekend but—”
“A weekend is perfect. I hate when one of us goes home the next day.” Her bottom lip jutted out in a pout.
“About that, maybe when we get back, we can talk about one of usnothaving to go home the next day?” I quirked a brow to see her reaction. Her eyes widened, but I hoped in a good way.
“Like move in together?”
“Maybe.” I lifted a shoulder, as if it was just a suggestion, not something I wanted so badly I was afraid to come out and ask for it. It had been on the tip of my tongue to propose for weeks, but I was terrified she’d say no. Moving in together was my wimpy way of testing the waters.
“Don’t you want to give a vacation together a try first? See if I annoy you?” She kissed my cheek before I shook my head.
“You’d never annoy me. More like you’ll get sick of how needy I am.” I ran my hand along the collar of the T-shirt hanging off one of her shoulders.“I’m getting this one back, right?”
“Maybe, maybe not.” She lowered her head and breathed in. “Mmm, smells like you.” She shut her eyes, opening one and raising a brow. “I think that’s a no.”
My chest rumbled with a laugh. “If you lived with me, you could steal my shirts anytime you wanted. Especially if you wear them like this,” I pulled at where it drooped the lowest and dropped open-mouthed kisses along the swells of her breasts. She giggled as she writhed beneath me, rolling us over before she straddled me again. My greedy cock thickened underneath her, despite having been inside her for most of the night.
I had a hunger for Thea I knew I’d never satisfy.
She leaned forward and kissed me, slow and hungry, sucking my bottom lip before she straightened to peel off my shirt and let it fall somewhere behind my bed.
“Is that better?” Her full breasts swayed a little as she laughed. My eyes fell on her rigid nipples, still red from being between my teeth earlier. I grabbed her by the nape of her neck and kissed her, licking inside her mouth and swallowing her whimpers as my tongue stroked hers.
