His deep chuckle vibrated against my stomach.

“Where’s Thea?” He peeled my hands off the pillow and threw it behind him. “Did I make her come so hard that she had to hide?”

“Get inside me before you start annoying me.” I sank my fingers into the firm swell of his ass and pulled him into me.

“Have I told you how much I love you yet today?”

He leaned over the bed and reached for the new box of condoms that was already half empty. We’d come back into each other’s lives over a month ago, but last night and today felt like a true reunion. He felt like mine, and I felt like his, and I was so high on joy that I never wanted to leave this bed.

Eventually, I’d have to leave not only this bed but this town, too. But I wasn’t worried. We’d come this far, and I had faith we’d figure something out.

He slid inside me and groaned as if he hadn’t been there for most of the night. I hoped this was the start of making up for lost time on a lot of things.

“So good to be home,” he said through gritted teeth as he inched in and out of me. Each time we came together it was slower, both of us shedding some of the fear that the other would disappear.

“Inside me is home?” I slid my hand to the back of his neck, my lips twitching into a smile. He winced each time he went deep, as if it was too good to be real.

“You’remy home, Thea. Everything about you is home.”

He covered my mouth with his until his body went rigid above me. I clenched around him, falling over the edge a second time as he pulsed into me.

“Eventually,” I sighed, swiping the damp hair away from his sticky forehead, “we’re going to have to get out of bed and get dressed.”

“But that day doesn’t have to be today. Maybe a quick trip to the kitchen for breakfast, only because I need fuel for round…whatever we’re on.”

“If you want me to make breakfast, all you have to do is ask.”

“I brought breakfast. There are cinnamon rolls in one of the bags, we just need to heat them up for a few minutes. Then I can spend the rest of today licking the icing off of you.”

“You need a cold shower, Gallo.” I rolled my eyes, hiding my smile as I leaned over to my dresser to pull out a pair of underwear when he caught my wrist.

“No clothes.” He quirked a brow and slowly shook his head.

“It’s a little dangerous to cook naked.” I stood and pulled my robe from behind the door. “At least put your boxers back on and come downstairs with me.”

“Fine,” he huffed and plucked his boxers from the pile of his clothes on the floor as he headed for the bathroom to get rid of the condom. “But once we come back up here, the clothes come off.”

Shaking my head, I headed down stairs and shoved two cinnamon buns from the large paper bag of pastries into the toaster oven.

“We should sit on the deck later,” Dominic said as he peered out the back door.

“You need clothes for that too, babe.”

“Why? Who can see us?” He grumbled as he loaded up the coffee maker.

I pictured all our mornings like this: the both of us playfully bickering during breakfast after long, amazing nights together. I put the warm rolls on a plate and turned back towards the stairs.

“You can be naked again in just a few minutes, try to hold out.”

He swatted my ass and looped an arm around my waist to pull me back.

“Youloveme naked. Get upstairs, lose the robe, and wait for me.”

I climbed up the stairs as Dominic finished the coffee, my face and the rest of me flushing hot, and did what I was told until he came back into the bedroom balancing two steaming mugs.

“This is nice,” he mumbled around a piece of cinnamon roll as he lounged on my bed.

“It is,” I agreed as I sipped coffee under the sheets. “Like all those Sunday mornings back at your apartment in Queens. I don’t know why we always ended up at your place and not mine.”
