“It was for you!”

She was grinning and looked to my old friend.

“It was really amazing. You’re the greatest dancer. I know Liam wanted me to be focused on him but I really couldn’t keep my eyes off of you.”

Faith blushed.

“Thank you, and feel free to call me if you ever want to revenge flash mob him. I really had fun putting this one together.”

To my horror, the girls exchanged numbers, so I knew at some point I was going to be a victim of my own surprise dance, but I didn’t really care. Isabella’s smile was worth it. Reaching around the car, I opened my glove compartment and tossed Faith a set of keys. Her boyfriend joined us and noticed the boat keychain with a bit of a shocked look.

“It’s a spare set. You two can use her whenever you want. On the rare occasion I decide I might need it, I’ll make sure to give you fair warning.”

Faith blushed. I put my arm around her shoulder for a moment before stepping away and looking at the couple. I might be over Faith now, but I was still going to look after her.

“You take care of her.”

It was clear I was not talking about the yacht, and Faith’s boyfriend nodded.

“Always.”

Faith kissed my cheek and motioned toward the party. Most of the crowd had returned to the back, and the couple wrangled up the rest of the stragglers to give me a chance to be alone with Isabella. A chance to see if we could flicker again.

Isabella

She was really very sweet and generous, but standing next to Faith reminded me how completely opposite I was physically. I know there was a flicker before, and I was really excited, but as I started to wander around the party, I couldn’t help but wonder why it was only a flicker. I mean, was that actually all we were going to ever share? My eyes followed her, and I sighed.

“She really is so beautiful.”

“So are you.”

My eyes flew to his, wondering if this was just him being his normal flirty self, but it wasn’t. Liam wrapped his arms around my waist and drew me closer. I rested my hands on his shoulders.

“Thank you. I know it’s not the same, though. I know you’re more attracted to her.”

Liam was looking at me, completely baffled.

“What are you talking about?”

“Cassidy, Faith… Taylor Swift. That’s the kind of girl you are attracted to. It’s not me. I’m all dark and short and curvy.”

When I looked at him, his mouth actually dropped.

“Wait, Bella. Are you saying the whole time we’ve known each other, you thought I wasn’t attracted to you?”

I frowned.

“I mean, not physically. We clearly are attracted to each other in other aspects. Don’t get me wrong. This is not me being self-conscious of anything. I don’t wish I looked different. There is nothing wrong with me. My curves, my hair, everything… it’s me. It’s just that I get that you aren’t really into that.”

“Oh, Bella…”

Liam reached out and trailed his finger down my cheek.

“Bella, I will not lie. Girls that look like Cassidy and Faith… they were the type of girl I was attracted too. Right now, though, the only girl in the whole world I want is you.”

Before I could stop him, he pulled the wig off my head and started to unpin my hair. It fell around my shoulder, and he cupped my face.

“You are more beautiful to me than I could even try to explain. I love your hair, and your curves, and your height. Not to mention your gorgeous eyes with those long lashes. They completely haunt me at night. Bella, trust me, I’m physically attracted to you. I have been for a long time now.”
