“Shopping with you is really fun. I can’t wait to do it again.”
After all my items were bagged, we headed out to my car.
The cost of my outside reflecting my new inside: ask Calvin because I will never tell.

We decided on burgers for dinner and grabbed them on the way to his house. He started to fidget and then finally spoke to me.
“Can you please not judge me when you see my house? Just remember it’s my parents that are rich. I’m not the one that owns the place.”
Curiosity hit me again.
“What’s wrong with the house?”
He sighed.
“You’ll see.”
And I did. When we pulled through the gate, I felt like we had just entered another universe. He lives in a freaking mansion in the middle of what had to be acres and acres of land. How did he prefer driving to being home? It couldn’t be possible. My face must have given my thoughts away because Liam sighed.
“Do you want a tour?”
I did, but something told me giving people tours was a sore spot for him. Especially since he asked me not to judge him. So, instead, I shook my head and grabbed our food.
“Nah. I’m pretty sure eventually I’ll see more of it. Let’s eat while the food is hot.”
He opened his trunk and took out the bags. We had agreed that he would need to keep my new clothes at his place. My parents would freak out. I could just get ready here before we headed out tomorrow. He walked me around the house and through a door on the side.
“This is my wing.”
My eyes flew open again.
“You have your own wing?!?”
I didn’t even have my own room, and he had his own wing of a house. Man, our lives were so different.
He put the bags down and we walked to the kitchen area. Yes, he had his own kitchen. This was just insane. I would kill for a place like this.
“My family… we’re complicated. It’s best for us all if we just have our own space.”
I sighed.
“I’m officially jealous. If I want my own space I have to go to the roof, and even there, I can’t get a minute of silence. The neighbors are always yelling or playing music.”
Liam smiled at me.
“Well, there are a few extra bedrooms if you ever need to escape.”
My eyes widened.
“You have extra bedrooms?”
He grimaced.
“Yes. Let’s eat.”
