I nodded and slipped my robe off. I’d left my briefs on, so I didn’t really mind. Brooke took it and hung it up on the hook on the wall on my side of the room. When she came back, she took my hand and helped me onto the table.

“Lay down on your side,” she instructed. “You want your hips right on the edge of the cushion and your arm between the two cushions. We don’t want any pressure on your shoulder.” She grabbed another cushion and put it between my legs, and I sighed immediately at the relief. It was as good as my pregnancy pillow.

“Comfortable?” she checked.

“Mmm.” I sighed, closing my eyes.

“That’s exactly what we like to hear.”

The next forty-five minutes or so were bliss. My back, shoulders, and even my scalp were rubbed to perfection.

After barely being able to get to sleep, and the fact I couldn’t really get comfy, and using the restroom every hour, swollen feet, swollen face, swollen everything kind of struggle, this felt so good.

Getting rubbed on! Seriously, why hadn’t I thought of this? Having my aching feet, lower back, and head massaged was the best ever.

“Rhys, this is the best, most unexpected treat, and I’ll love you forever,” I sighed.

“Mmm,” my best friend moaned. Clearly, he was as blissed-out as I was.

My belly was rubbed with oil but not massaged, which felt nice as well. But Gabe usually did this every night for me.

I must have dozed off because I woke up to Rhys in front of me.

“That good, huh?” He shot me a lopsided grin.

“Perfect,” I sighed and met Kian’s gaze for a moment. “I feel huge and just uncoordinated, like my body isn’t mine. Gabe and I haven’t even—” I ducked my head. “What if he doesn’t find me attractive anymore?”

Rhys used a finger to lift my chin. “You’re joking. Gabe adores you. Like completely besotted with you. I would bet there is not a second that goes by without him thinking about you, Kee. Don’t ever doubt that.”

“But what about the—you know?”

“I bet it’s just because he’s being all ‘caveman protect my mate’ dumb alpha.” Rhys snorted.

“You think?” I couldn’t help asking.

“I know this.” Rhys’s voice was firm. “Now, no more worrying, only pampering and then food.”

“What would I do without you?” I sighed.

“You’ll never have to find out.”

Rhys droppedme off outside the house and didn’t leave until I entered. As if anything could happen to me on the ranch. I waved at him before closing the door.

I checked the kitchen and the living room but didn’t find my mate. But I knew he was home since he’d texted earlier, checking on me and asking if he should have dinner waiting. I walked upstairs slowly, and Gabe must have heard me because I saw him coming out of the nursery.

He walked over to me and pulled me into his arms. Gabe kissed me softly. It was slow, sensual, like coming home. Gabe broke the kiss and asked, “How was your day, baby?”

“Great! The spa is beautiful.”

“Oh, I’m so glad. I know you’ve not been sleeping great. I mentioned it to Rhys, and he changed your guys’ plan.”

“It was just what I needed. What did you get up to in the nursery?”

He took my hand and led me to the room. “Oh, you put the stickers up. It’s beautiful.” We’d done the nursery in white with one accent wall in olive green. I’d ordered the stickers of teddy bears sitting on clouds and on the moon, dotted with stars of different sizes.

“It’s perfect.” I turned around and kissed him. “Thank you so much for doing this. I wanted to do it, but my back…”
