Oliver shrugged. “I was given drugs, but I guess I never questioned what they were for. Anton said to take them and would watch you taking them, so you took them. I’m going to guess that it had something to do with that. Why?”

“Well, Anton was getting drugs from somewhere to give to all of you, either to stop your heat or, my guess would be, to stop you from getting pregnant.” Ronin paused and Ollie could practically hear his mind racing. “That means he was getting those drugs from someone. Anton didn’t strike me as particularly smart, and I don’t think he would be able to get his hands on something like that if the other person didn’t know what he needed them for.” He hesitated. “I guess it comes down towho. Where did he get these drugs, and who was helping him?”

“Good question,” Oliver replied, although he wasn’t really sure where his mate was going with his train of thought. “I guess I never even considered that.”

Ronin nodded and looked over to Ollie. “Do you remember ever seeing anyone else?”

Oliver shrugged. “I mean, there were alphas coming through periodically, but I guess I just always assumed that they were the alphas that were…” Ollie’s voice trailed off. “I always figured that was all they were there for.” Oliver tried to look back upon that time and images of that room flashed in his head, but it only brought about sadness, so he shut his eyes to block it out.

“Sorry for making you relive it, love. I’m so sorry.” Ronin placed a kiss on the top of Oliver’s head. “I have been thinking about that for the past two hours, and it occurred to me the only ones that have access to drugs are…”

“Drug dealers?” Oliver said helpfully.

Ronin laughed. “Well, yes… that’s true, but I was thinking more along the lines of a professional.”

“Hmmm… you mean a doctor?” Ollie supplied.

Ronin nodded. “Exactly. My brother Ryder is also a doctor. You’ve not met him yet because he’s been in one of the neighboring packs, assisting with a birth and routine check-ups. Even though his main clinic is here in Wildwood, he works with different packs, too, since not everyone can come to his office. I’ll ask him. Maybe he knows something. It’s possible that he would have some kind of idea of who could be helping Anton. I think it’s worth a shot checking into it.”

Oliver smiled. He loved how Ronin was so caring and thoughtful. Even now, he was still thinking about all that they had gone through and how he could help. Ollie couldn’t imagine not having him in his life. “I love you,” Oliver whispered.

He twisted so he was facing Ronin and leaned in, sealing their lips together. Oliver’s tongue brushed against Ronin’s lips, and his mate opened for him as his alpha’s hand went to the back of Oliver’s head, pulling him closer and deepening the kiss.

“I love you too,” Ronin said, after breaking their kiss. He moved and Ollie chuckled as he was pressed into the bed while Ronin was hovering over him. All Ollie wanted to do was spend the day in bed making love. He might be new to it, but he already had a feeling he would never get tired of Ronin.

Ronin pulled back from the kiss. “We need to get up.”

Apparently, it wasn’t a dream that would be a reality that day.

Oliver groaned as Ro lifted off him and got out of the bed.

“Do we have to?” Ollie pouted as he sat up in bed, looking at Ronin’s naked, perfectly sculpted ass.

Ronin turned around. “I lucked out with a sexy omega, and trust me, the last thing I want to do is leave this bed.”

Oliver snickered. “Then what’s the problem?” He batted his eyes at Ronin—or at least he tried to.

“I think your parents and your brother will be upset if they don’t get to see you again. They’re going home today, and I know you want to spend time with them.” He winked at Oliver. “I feel it, in my soul and all.”

Oliver sighed. “You’re right. You’re right. By the way, are you always going to read my feelings?”

“Well, those are the perks of being mated.” Ronin came and leaned over the bed and placed a kiss on his lips.

Ollie sighed happily. “I really like those perks.” There was something about feeling the person you loved beside you at all times, even when they weren’t together.

“Me too, babe. Me too,” Ronin said. “So, we can spend a day with your family, and then when we get home, I’ll take my time tasting every inch of your body, then fucking you, then making love to you all night.” Ronin’s eyes on him were so intense, it felt like fingers on his skin.

Ronin stepped away from the bed, and he couldn’t help smiling. There was something very hot about the fact his mate had to physically move to keep his hands off him.

Ollie got out of bed and went over to Ronin. “I can spend the day with my parents and my brother,” Ollie said, “because afterward I get to stay here with my love andmyfamily.” He cupped Ronin’s cheek. “You’re my family now; you and our maybe baby. You guys are what matter most to me. But when we get home later this evening, then imma be holding you to your promise.” Oliver winked at Ronin, and his mate laughed.

“I expect you to hold me to it.” Ronin placed a kiss on Ollie’s lips and his hands squeezed Ollie’s ass, kneading the globes. “Trust me, you’ll get no argument from me.” They kissed and then parted. “You get the shower first,” Ronin said.

“Or you can join me,” Ollie suggested. He began walking towards the bathroom with an extra swing in his hips.

“You’re evil,” Ronin growled. “Evil.”

“Open invitation...” Ollie giggled and tried to shake his ass. He felt Ronin’s eyes on him as he disappeared into the bathroom.
