“No.” Ollie shook his head and moved so he was standing in front of Ronin. “It was perfect, and I liked falling asleep in your arms.”

Ronin pulled him into his body. “Me too.” Ronin’s voice was deep, and his eyes on Ollie had him swaying into the alpha’s body.

“We should probably get you rolled up before it gets any harder to let you go.”

Ollie chuckled. “I think it already is.” He looked down between them and then back up at Ronin, a teasing glint in his eyes. He could feel just how hard his mate was, and it made his body light up.

“Well, that’s what you do to me.” Ronin chuckled, then lowered his head and placed a kiss on his lips.

“Come on,” Ronin said.

He helped Ollie roll up his sleeping bag, and they walked back towards the truck.

“I need to speak to Maddox. Are you okay for a minute?” Ronin asked.

Ollie nodded and watched as his alpha walked to where Maddox was standing.

“I know something happened between you two last night,” Jax said in a whisper as he came up beside him .

Ollie chuckled and put an arm around Jax to support him since his friend was still healing… although Jax would be fine in a day or so, thanks to shifter healing. Ollie had learned that was why he’d never fallen ill as a child.

“Maybe,” Ollie giggled. “Were you spying on me?”

Jax smiled. “You wish. I saw the way you two looked at one another. It’s clear something happened. I am happy for you, Ollie.” His friend’s smile was a little sad, and Ollie couldn’t help hoping that Jax found his mate soon too.

Ronin came back to his side and led him and Jax to the truck and opened the door for them to get in, although he had to lift Jax into the seat.

He shut the door and got into the passenger side, while Maddox jumped into the driver’s seat. Sophie, Cybil, Marco, and Shawn were all riding in the van since the four of them didn’t want to be separated.

Chapter Twelve

Ronin

Ronin couldn’t stop glancing back at Oliver as they drove. The journey back was twice as long as on the way there because they had to stop for food and bathroom breaks more often.

They got to Chesterfield and it was decided that everyone would stay one night there, and then head to Wildwood the next morning. They stayed at the guys’ house, with the omegas choosing to stay together in one room. Since Maddox had the biggest room, he was the lucky one kicked out.

When everyone was done eating and starting to settle in for the night, Ronin looked around for Oliver, but he couldn’t seem to find him.

When he spotted Zander, he walked over to him. “See Ollie anywhere?”

Zander looked around the living room and shook his head. “Maybe he stepped outside.” Zander looked down at his phone when it pinged.

“Texting Robbie?” Ronin teased.

Zander looked up with a smile on his face. “Perhaps you’re not the only one that’s found his mate.” He winked at Ronin as he snorted.

“Please. If he was, you wouldn’t be here with us,” Ronin pointed out.

“Well, I may not have found Mr. Right, but not all of us are so lucky,” Zander said with a slight hint of sadness.

“I’m sure you will, brother,” he said to his friend, all the while looking around for his mate.

“Go find your mate. Your mind is clearly not here with me.” With that, Zander pushed him toward the back door.

Ronin let his wolf come to the surface and followed his lead, which brought him to his mate out in the garden. Ollie was standing silently staring at the forest that spread out from the back of the house.

Ronin came up behind Ollie and wrapped his arms around his waist. “What are you doing?”
