“So, who referred you to us?” Quinn asked. He sat down behind a computer and waited for the man who had introduced himself as Aiden to take the seat across from him.

“Um… an old colleague that I used to work with. I believe you used to clean her home, but she’s moved away now. Jemma White.”

Quinn thought about that. The name didn’t sound familiar at all, but he shrugged. “We have quite a number of clients. I’m sorry to say that I couldn’t possibly recall all their names.”

Aiden nodded. “Of course.”

Quinn turned to his computer and started typing, probably pulling up the information form. “So you want to hire us?”

Aiden nodded, causing Quinn to smile.

“Wonderful. Can I have your name, phone number, and address please?”

Aiden gave the details he asked for, and Quinn quickly typed it in.

When he was done, Quinn continued. “Tell me a little about what you’re in need of. Do you live in a home or apartment, how many hours of work do you want us to handle, and how big is the space we’d be working on? Would you like laundry service too? How many days a week?”

Quinn looked up at Aiden after rattling off the main questions.

“I live in a rather large house,” Aiden started and watched as Quinn went on to type away. “It’s got two floors and a basement. I don’t plan on needing too much work with the basement. I’m thinking perhaps eight hours a day. We can do every other day, or Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I’d want to start right away. I’m looking for simply the best, and money is no object.”

Quinn looked up at him and arched an eyebrow over his computer screen. It seemed this alpha knew exactly what he needed. He went back to typing on his computer as Aiden continued. “I live by myself, so no worries there, but with other tasks, I do believe that I can keep you busy.”

Quinn continued to type on his computer until he reached the last part. He then looked up. “I’m sure I can get someone out there the day after tomorrow to view your home. Then we can move to Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and if you find that you are needing them more regularly, or less, we can adjust accordingly.”

“You can get someone out there?” The man asked.

Quinn nodded. “Yes. I am sure that I have someone that would be ideal for your situation. I’ll get him out there bright and early in the morning. Now, I’ll go over pricing,” he said. He grabbed a paper from his drawer and pushed it towards Aiden. “Here are the three tiers of pricing we have,” he said. “It should be easy to understand. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.” Aiden didn’t even look down at the list. “Is there a problem?” Quinn asked.

“Well, I don’t think you quite understand what I’m looking for,” he said.

“Excuse me?” Quinn asked.

“I am in need of a housekeeper of sorts, but I was thinking along the lines that you would be the one that could help me out.”

Quinn cleared his throat. “Me personally?”

Aiden shrugged. “I’ve heard great things about you and your services.”

Quinn smiled. “Why yes, but I’m the owner, and it’s been quite some time since I’ve personally gone on jobs. But I can assure you that all of my employees are top-notch, and you will be satisfied with any one of them.”

Aiden scrunched up his nose. It looked like he was about to say no, but then he shrugged. “If that’s the way it works.”

Quinn nodded. “Okay then. So, would you like to pick out a tier from the list?” he asked.

Aiden looked down at the list, giving it barely a glance before pointing to the third column. It was the most expensive pricing, and Quinn pulled the list back, then typed in the information in his computer. He slipped the paper back into his desk drawer and looked up.

“Do you have any questions?” he asked.

Aiden was staring at a picture of Barry. Quinn’s eyes went to it, and he frowned when Aiden turned to face him and asked, “Is that your husband?”

Quinn forced a smile and nodded. “Was,” he simply replied. “But do you have any questions for me pertaining to the cleaning services we provide?”

Aiden shook his head and stood to his feet. “I’ll be seeing your employee tomorrow morning then?”

“Day after tomorrow. We need a day to do background checks on clients. Both myself and my employees need to know they will be safe wherever we send them.”
