“He has tiny hands and fingers.” Malachi stared in wonder at the screen.
He tried his best not to be too protective of Alfie, but his mate’s pregnancy had definitely made it more difficult. His wolf was even more protective, but Alfie never called him out for it.
His papa finally finished measuring different things on the screen, then stopped and frowned. He pressed the wand into Alfie’s belly, moving it around before saying, “Oh my.”
“You’re scaring us, papa. What’s going on?” Alfie’s hand tightened in his.
His papa pointed at the screen. “See there?”
Both he and Alfie never took their eyes off the screen.
“Yeah?” Alfie’s voice was barely above a whisper. “Is everything okay?”
“Everything is perfect.” His papa turned to them with a grin. “We’re having twins.”
They both gasped. “What… how didn’t you see that before?” Malachi glanced at his papa, but his eyes returned to the screen immediately.
“Sometimes, one twin blocks the other,” His papa said, “And it looks like that’s the case here with your boys.”
“Boys,” both he and Alfie gasped in unison.
“I believe so, although one is bigger than the other. I think we may have an alpha and omega twin pair here.”
Malachi glanced at his mate to see his hand over his mouth, “Twins?” Alfie whispered. “We’re having twins.”
“Yes, love.” Malachi made sure to watch his mate to see his reaction.
“We’re having twins,” Alfie whispered.
“We are,” Malachi said.
“We’re having twins,” Alfie whispered.
“We are,” Malachi repeated.
“We’re having twins.” Alfie’s voice caught, then he pulled Malachi down for a kiss.
Alfie broke their kiss and held his gaze. “Love you.”
“Love you, too, baby.”
His papa wrapped things up and handed them printed shots of their babies.
“Do you boys have any questions for me?” His papa asked.
“You’re down the road, papa, and at the house almost every day. If we think of any, we’ll make sure to ask you.”
Malachi helped his mate wipe himself down and get dressed.
“Well, you have nothing to worry about. I’m pretty certain your morning sickness should be done, but now we know why it was so bad.Twolittle ones.”
“That’s the second best news I’ve gotten today.” Alfie grinned at him. “I think I want lamb chops and mashed potatoes.”
His papa chuckled. “Looks like your appetite is returning. I have a feeling you will be popping soon. Count yourself lucky we only carry for four months. This will be over soon and we’ll have two new Whitfell’s.”
Malachi lifted his mate off the table and handed him his sweatpants.
“Should I call down to the resort and have them deliver food?”
