“I’m sad we’re going home tomorrow, but I also can’t wait.” Alfie sighed as he snuggled into Malachi.

“I love that you just called Whitfell home.” Malachi took his lips in a sweet kiss that he couldn’t help but respond to—not that he was trying to resist. The kiss went on for less than a minute until Alfie finally eased back.

He held Chi’s gaze as he dropped small kisses at the corners of his mouth.

“Love you,” Alfie whispered.

“Love you too.” His mate’s arms tightened around him.

Thirty-Two

Malachi

They’d been home almost three weeks, and Malachi had spent more time working from home than he ever had before. And His brothers were teasing him mercilessly for it—even Malek, though he wasn’t much better.

But he’d had to go into the office today; he’d had a couple of meetings to attend with his brothers.

Alfie had settled into Whitfell, and he knew it was so much easier because his brother was there.

Chi and Alfie were still in that stage of their mating where they wanted to spend all their time together.

Alfie had even spoken to Rowan and Sharon, finally coming clean to them about Uni, though he’d edited out the Rupert part. Malachi and his wolf still had vivid dreams of what they would do to him given half a chance.

Alfie was also completely in love with his new parents’ home, although he insisted on calling it a castle, no matter how much Chi reminded him it was just a manor.

His papa was in heaven between Alfie and Axel. He finally had civilised folks to talk to. He’d always teased that he didn’t have one kid that was into anything he was.

Chi would come home and find his mate and his dad drinking tea and watching TOWIE quite often.

Malachi had tried getting his mate to buy more things for himself, but Alfie refused to get more than the bare essentials. Because of that, Chi had become very adept at shopping online—ASOS, H&M, Topman… just to name a few. He’d even slipped some things from Selfridges into his mate’s closet as well.

It made him feel good to take care of his mate… his man… but Alfie did so much taking care of him too. Their home went from functional to so warm and welcoming.

In all his seventy-two years, Chi couldn’t remember being this happy.

“Have you seen the dopey look on his face?” His youngest brother Mikhail’s voice interrupted his thoughts.

“Hasn’t stopped grinning since he came back from Blackpool,” Marcellus chimed in.

“Don’t tease the newly mated.” Malek chuckled and plopped down on the couch in his office.

“To what do I owe the displeasure?” Malachi rolled his eyes at his brothers’ invasion.

“Well, we are here to celebrate with you, of course.” Malek looked at him like he was dense.

“Since I’ve been mated for over a month and we already had family dinner a few weeks ago… I'd say this is redundant. So fuck off out of my office, you lazy gits.”

“He’s playing coy.” Malek wiggled his eyebrows. “Don’t worry, Axel told me.”

“What are you on about mate?” Malachi glanced at the stocks he was tracking on his screen before glancing back up at his brothers.

“Congratulations, brother.” Malek stood and walked over to him. He grabbed his shoulder and squeezed.

“Okay, seriously. What did I do to deserve all of you in my office today?” His brothers knew he didn’t really mind them being there, but Chi honestly didn’t know what they were talking about.

“Come on, Chi. Don’t you want to celebrate the newest little Whitfell with your brothers?”

“What?” Malachi head snapped up, and he looked at his brothers’ smiling faces. “What?” he repeated.
