Before he could get the last letters out, Malachi sealed their lips together.

Alfie’s lips were soft and gentle as they responded. Just the feel of his Alfie’s lips on his sent electrical impulses through Malachi’s body, stoking the flames of his arousal. Alfie parted his lips and Chi took that as his cue to take the kiss deeper.

Alfie matched him move for move, but allowed Malachi to control the kiss. Alfie lifted his arms and wrapped them around his mate’s neck, and Chi let out a sigh of contentment.

The kiss continued, both of them tasting and learning each other until he finally leaned back. He looked into Alfie’s eyes and loved seeing the semi-glazed filled-with-lust look in them. Chi couldn’t help it, he dropped tiny kisses at the corners of Alfie’s mouth and let his hands travel downwards until he had a handful of his mate’s ass.

“Wow,” Alfie breathed, his eyes searching Chi’s.

“Wow is right,” Malachi said, before leaning down and brushing his lips over Alfie’s one last time.

“So, what happens next?” Alfie asked, then lay his head on Chi’s shoulder.

It felt like such a huge sign of trust, and it had Malachi wanting to do cartwheels.

“How about dinner, if our brothers left any for us, and then I go show you our home?”

Alfie leaned back so they were face to face, “Ours?” he asked.

Malachi nodded. “I hope so. I know we have a couple of things to talk about, like whether you would like to go back to school, but no matter where we end up, I’m hoping Whitfell will always be home.”

“We?” Alfie brows furrowed. “What do you mean whereverweend up?”

“You’re my mate, Alfie, so yes, I mean we. I go where you do.”

“Really?” Alfie’s eyes lit up. Apparently, he liked that idea.

“If you’ll have me,” Malachi said, a hopeful smile on his face. He hoped Alfie knew what he was asking.

“I would love to be your mate, even though I have a million questions, but yes, yes, a thousand times yes. All I ever wanted was someone to love me.”

“You never have to doubt that, not for a second,” Chi said, pouring his heart out.

Alfie was the one who moved this time, crushing his lips to Malachi’s. His tongue pushed into Chi’s mouth, desperate and seeking, and he let his mate take what he needed.

When Alfie finally broke their kiss, he held Chi’s gaze. “This feels like a dream, but if it is, I don’t want to wake up.”

“Same here, love. Same here.”

Alfie’s arms went around Malachi’s neck again.

Malachi took a deep breath, simply breathing in his mate’s scent, and he let out a contented sigh, a smile taking over his face. His arms tightened around his mate, and Alfie burrowed into him. Chi couldn’t help the purr that escaped.

Malachi was pretty sure life didn’t get any better than this moment.

Alfie’s stomach rumbling interrupted their moment, and they both burst out laughing.

“It’s time I get my mate fed.” Malachi said, and got to his feet with Alfie’s legs still wrapped around his waist.

“Ooo,” Alfie gasped, before adding in a teasing tone, “…my mate issostrong.”

Malachi was wrong. Thingscouldget better. Alfie calling him his mate—no words in the English language, or any language, had ever sounded better.

“You know, I always wanted to have sex in this position, maybe against a wall. I can see it now, your thick cock pushing into me…” Alfie’s voice trailed off.

Malachi nearly dropped him, and when he leaned back so he could see his mate’s face, it was all innocent. If it wasn’t for the twinkling look in Alfie’s eyes, Malachi would have sworn it was his imagination.

Apparently, his mate was going to keep proving him wrong—there were more words that sounded better.
