The dragon laughed, “You sentience are so funny. Spirit told me how worried Rylee was, that in order to bond, he would have to have sex with him as well as Taj.”
Gordy didn’t like how the maharishi was laughing at him. Heck, he was the one that kept talking as if he were just as much part of this bonding as Gunner was, and his response wasn’t helpful in helping Gordy understand any of this.
“I’m not laughing at you, but think about it, Gordy. Do you really think we could be connected as you and Gunner would be? I’m a dragon and my cock is huge. No, we do not have sex with each other to bond. When that time comes I will transfer to Gunner. We are soul bonds. That means that when I chose Gunner as my own, Heck brought us together and we joined souls. We are connected as closely as two can be. It means we can speak in each other’s minds and feel what the other feels. When the time comes to bond with you, Gunner and I will join as we never have before, and while he is connected to you… just as he is about to ejaculate, his teeth will grow and he will bite you, and since you are a shifter the same will happen to you. Once we have consumed each other’s blood, all three of our souls will combine and we will be one.” The dragon explained.
“Wow, it must suck.” Gordy whispered as he wiped his brow of sweat. Damn, when the hell did Texas ever cool down? At this rate, Gordy was going to have to start taking some things off. It was just too hot.
Looking over at Gunner he could see he was in as much discomfort as Gordy, so he figured he wouldn’t complain since Gunner wasn’t.
“What do you mean? A bonding never sucks. Gunner and I have waited centuries to join with our sentience. It is a blessing to be thankful for,” the dragon said, sounded offended.
Shaking his head quickly, Gordy said, “No. No. I didn’t mean the bonding part, I meant that you not having sex. I hear it’s… well it’s supposed to be… I mean, I wouldn’t really know, but from the way Jude, Gio, Bren and even Rylee and Lex… I mean… the way I’ve heard them talk, it sounds like an awesome experience. It just sucks that you won’t ever find out. I mean I’m a virgin from circumstance, but it can be rectified and you… I… Oh heck, did I just say that? Ignore me.”
Holy shit, he just announced to Gunner and the dragon that he’d never had sex. What the hell was wrong with him? It had to be the heat. Gordy never talked about sex and the heat in this place was frying his stupid brain. Closing his eyes, Gordy prayed to the gods and goddesses above to allow a giant hole to form and suck him in.
“Oh fuck me, do you know how hot that is?” Gunner rasped out. Speaking for the first time in what seemed like hours.
Looking at the man, Gordy’s eyes widened at the lust and need he could see from that gaze.
Gunner’s tone thickened as he continued, “To know we will be the only ones to ever feel your tight ass massaging my cock… milking my seed from my body… Oh, Gordy, you have no idea how truly sexy that thought is to me.”
“Us? I thought he said I didn’t have to have sex with him to bond with you?” Gordy asked in confusion.
Smiling, the maharishi said, “And we don’t. However, remember me telling you that Gunner is my soul bond and we can feel what the other feels?”
Nodding, Gordy listened as the dragon explained, “It means that when Gunner joins with you I will feel everything he does. Not in the same way, but from what Smoky has said, it is extremely satisfying. Hell, it was Rylee’s threat of no sex with Pit that had Spirit finally agreeing to go through with the plan they had come up with. I am very much looking forward to discovering the glories that the other bonded maharishi speak of. Ours is not so much physical as it is spiritual… if that makes sense?”
“I think so.” Gordy whispered back.
The maharishi brought his large black wasp-like wings forward and sat back in the chair he was in, saying, “However, our bonding can wait a bit. I really want to get to know our bond mate. Don’t you, Gunner?”
Gunner nodded, swiping at the sweat running from his scalp and down his cheek. “Very much so.”
“Can we ask questions, Gordy, or would you like to start?” The dragon asked.
The feeling Gordy had, at the Beer and Brats place came back to him tenfold. The maharishi must have noticed his response, and asked, “So, can I ask where you’re from? I take it Pennsylvania isn’t the location you called home in the past?”
Shaking his head, Gordy replied, “No. I lived in Ohio before everything went bad.”
“What did you used to do before coming to Drago?” Gunner asked.
“I’d just graduated with my bachelor’s degree from culinary school and was working as a sous chef at a local restaurant. I have degrees in culinary arts and baking and pastry. I studied things like gastronomy, confections, pastry… that kind of thing. The restaurant I had been working in while going to school had just promoted me, and the executive chef had taken me under his wing.”
“I take it that cooking is something you enjoy?” Gunner asked.
Gordy couldn’t help but smile. “Oh yes. I love cooking. I’d been helping Maxine cook since I could stand.” Thinking about his days when he was a young boy helping the cook prepare meals for his family had always been happy memories, and then the flashback of her dead body and all that blood… Closing his eyes, Gordy did his best to draw in air and let it out slowly until the vision passed.
“What is it, Gordy?” Gunner’s maharishi asked.
“Are you okay?” Gunner asked at the same time.
There was no way to hold back the tears in his eyes. Gods, he was so tired of fighting the sadness. It was draining and always left Gordy feeling heavy and hurting. For some reason he didn’t understand, Gordy couldn’t stop from letting out his deepest secrets he held. “Maxine was a wonderful woman and my only friend.”
Drawing in another deep breath and letting it out slowly, Gordy continued. “My parents… my parents weren’t real loving and nurturing. I always questioned why my parents even had a child, with as little contact as I ever had with them. I found out one day by accident, when my father was on the phone with his lawyer. He was telling him that he had fulfilled his part of the will by having an heir and he wanted his money. He told them that the monthly installments they were getting weren’t enough, and he damn well deserved more for putting up with a snot-nosed brat for almost ten years. I don’t know what came of it, but that was the day I learned that I was only a means to an end for them. I stopped trying to even get them to love me from that day on.”
Giving a sad smile, Gordy said, “But it was okay, because they might not love me or cared if I was alive or dead, but Maxine… well, Maxinedid. She had been allowing me to help in the kitchen from the time I could stand. At first it was mixing things, then as I got older it was measuring and cutting stuff. I’ll never forget the first time she allowed me to prepare one of the side dishes, and soon after that she was letting me prepare the full entrée. She taught me how to bake the different recipes passed down from her mother and grandmother. I hated when my parents sent me off to boarding school, but when I was allowed to come home, Maxine was always there to greet me and let me know I was loved and missed by someone.”
“She was the mother you never really had.” Gunner whispered.
