She wipes her nose and gives me a little smile. “Sometimes, I just wish we met in a normal way.”
I snort. “Like what, online dating?”
“Exactly. If we did, we would’ve texted each other for a while, gone out for coffee, and maybe gone out to dinner. After a few weeks, we might’ve slept together. I think we rushed into bed, too soon.”
How the hell am I supposed to respond to that?Suddenly, I have a brilliant idea. I call up the first online dating sight I can find and hand her my tablet. “Go ahead, make up a profile.”
“Don’t be foolish.” She shoves it back.
“Come on. Do it. I will, too.” I hold my breath.
The more time we spend together, the more I know we made a big mistake by breaking up. Maybe she feels it, too. I take out my camera, snap her picture, and message it to her.
“Post it.”
“I can’t put this out there. I look terrible.” She rolls her eyes.
“Even when you’re sad, you’re fucking stunning, Blake, honey.”
“Fine. Give me that.” She takes my picture with my phone. “You really promise to do this after me?”
“Uh huh.” I look over her shoulder as she fills in her profile.
