Mindy did her best to keep up with his flurry of questions, but even she was no match for Giovanni’s inquisitiveness.

Now, he’s just excitedly skipping around his father’s knees, singing at the top of his lungs, “I’m a big brother!” nine million times.

“How’s momma?” Mindy asks, stepping out from behind me, so she can hold my hand.

“Great,” he says in relief. “Everything went smoothly. She says this birth went a lot faster than her last one.”

Mindy nods. “I’m so happy for you guys. Any idea what you’re going to name him?”

Drac laughs. “You’re going to love this one, Voor. We wanted to keep the G name going, so we decided to name him Gage after your favorite horror movie kid.”

Voorhees pales. “Not after that creepy ass kid from Pet Sematary. Please tell me you didn’t name him that.”

Drac slaps him on the back. “I knew you’d love it, Brother.”

Voorhees groans. “How do you expect me to like the kid when he’s named after my most hated horror movie?”

Drac chuckles. “You’ll get over it.”

“Did you at least give him a solid middle name?” I question, positioning myself on the arm of a couch nearby so Mindy can lean into me.

He nods. “Yeah, it’s kind of unique though.”

“What is it?” Phantom asks.

“Richley. It’s a combination of his two uncle’s names.”

Both Voorhees and I share a look.

“You named him after us?” Voorhees’ voice breaks a bit.

“Yup, it was an easy agreement between Amber and I. We thought about naming him after the grandpas who have passed away, but their names never really meshed too well together. So, we decided his full name will be Gage Richley Frazier, naming him after the two men who have been by our side since the beginning.”

“Damn, who cut the onions in here?” Voorhees exclaims, wiping tears from his eyes.

Both of us charge Drac at once, hugging him so damn tight he struggles to breathe.

“Come on guys, it’s not that big of a deal.”

“Not that big of a deal,” I yell, scolding him with my eyes. “I’ve never had anyone named after me before. It’s truly an honor my friend.”

“Can we see the little guy?”

Drac shakes his head. “They only want four people in the room at all times, so the grandmas are first, then we’ll bring the rest of you in.

We nod, both of us eager to see the newest Elm Street Rider.

It’s almost an hour later before we’re called back. We let Autumn go first, just in case Krueger wanted to say something to his late wife and new grandson. Apparently, whatever was said was a doozy because by the time we enter the room, Drac’s looking a little pissed.

“Dude, you okay?”

He shakes his head.

“What’s wrong?”

He waves me off. “It doesn’t matter.” He shakes off whatever is bothering him and hands the baby to Mindy.

“Oh my gosh, he’s so cute!” she exclaims, admiring his little button nose that looks so much like his mom’s. “How you doing, Amber?”
