Brooke’s heart burned as she realized, all snuggled up between her friends, that she wanted someone to share their photos with. And more importantly, she wanted it to be Anna.

Chapter Seven:

Anna Fourchette (10:47 pm):

Hey Honey-B. How was your day?

Brooke's eyes widened. They hadn’t texted all day. Her last messages from Anna were their“I made it home, thanks for dinner, good night,” exchange from the night before. There had been several moments throughout the day in which Brooke wanted to text Anna, but she hadn’t really known how or where to start.I haven’t slept because I can smell you on my sweater.Felt a little intense. Is it weird to miss you?Felt a little clingy.Hey, what’s up?Felt a little forced and entirely unlike Brooke. Brooke smiled at her phone as the warmth in her chest blossomed throughout her body. She shared the photo of her friends, just like she had longed to do.

Brooke Kent (10:50 pm):

ate pizza, drank wine, and watched

Anna Fourchette (10:50 pm):

Wow, you guys get pretty wild

on Friday nights.

Anna Fourchette (10:51 pm):

Also, Christine sent me this photo

like two hours ago :-P

Anna Fourchette (10:51 pm):

Also also! How far have you made

it in Schitt’s Creek?

Brooke Kent (10:52 pm):

Oh, you know. The wildest.

And of course she did. lol

Brooke Kent (10:53 pm):
