“She seems nice. Tatsou still looks like he wants to kill me.” Rei watched their retreating forms with a grin.

“Don’t worry, I’ll only let him rough you up a bit.” I stuck my tongue out and he laughed. Moments later the vampire besties came back into the room, Eleanor’s sights set on Rei. Tatsou bent over to ask if I wanted to see the grounds. I did. This used to be where he lived! I bet he had tons of stories to tell me.

“Don’t worry, we’re just gonna hang out here,” Eleanor said, and Rei sipped his tea, then shrugged. He wasn’t into plants, and obviously knew I’d be okay with Tatsou. We told our hosts we were going to walk around, and they were happy to oblige. They only requested that we closed the gates to the cow pasture if we ventured inside it.

“It’s so cool to see where you grew up.” I admired the beautiful landscape and wished I could see it in spring when everything was blooming.

“I didn’t mean to upset you by taking off. I needed to think,” Tatsou said, as we drifted around the large maple trees.

“At first I was upset, but Father’s conversation spooked me more. I don’t think he can hurt you, but I didn’t wanna take that chance.” I reached over to hold his hand and he didn’t pull away. I needed to feel him right now.

“There’s only one way he can hurt me, Little Flower,” Tatsou whispered, and I stopped walking.

“I’m not going to destroy your family, Kat. To hurt them is to hurt you.” He pulled me over with our joined hands and brought his free hand up to caress my cheek. My heart hammered inside my chest. My lips parted, and tears of joy threatened to join the party. If Tatsou was willing to give up his plan for retribution, then that mean one thing.

“I love you, Katsumi Sakura.” He leaned in and branded my lips with his declaration.

Chapter Twenty- Four

Katsumi

Was it wrong to have sex on someone else’s farm? Maybe but I didn’t care. Tatsou admitted he loved me, and I wanted him inside me. Our kiss started out completely reverent but the more I nipped, the more sinful our need became. He picked me up and rushed us farther from the house so keen vampire sight couldn’t watch what was about to go down. Like me . . . I was about to go down on my vampire.

I wrestled with Tatsou’s slacks and had him in my mouth as soon as he was free.

“Kat,” he groaned, while I worked him over with my tongue. I loved when he groaned my name, and I loved knowing he felt the same for me as I did for him. My life was perfect now. I had him, he dropped his plan, and we could be together.

He pulled me to my feet and lavished my lips with his fingers gripping the hem of my leggings. In a matter of seconds, my pants were gone, and I was lifted onto Tatsou’s cock with my back against a tree. I bit my lip to keep from screaming as he slammed into me.

“I won’t let them take you from me.” He kissed my neck. I opened for him, completely wrapped in trust and love. His bite was simply orgasmic while he was inside me.

“I’m with you always,” I whimpered, as his fangs pricked my skin. My body exploded with intense heat, and my blood pounded in my sex. All of my nerves were firing, and I came as he sank his teeth and cock into my flesh.

“Always, Kat, always,” he repeated against my skin. With blood running from his lips, he kept his relentless pace, then lifted his bloody wrist to my lips. His eyes bore into mine as he spoke, his voice broken and his throat bobbing.

“Drink me, Kat,” he commanded, and I did so. Another orgasm lingered and I’d given myself over to him without thought. My mouth latched onto him and I pulled mouthfuls of his blood. Release shot through me like a bullet, and I cried against him while he pushed me to take more of him. I did. I wanted it all, everything he had to give. He moaned as he followed me into the bliss, and my body sang in delicious waves of pleasure with him.

“I love you, Kat.” He pulled his wrist away from me and slowly lifted me off of him.

When the sex-induced fog slowly dissipated, I cleaned myself off as best as I could. My vampire paced back and forth, his hands trembling at his side.

“Are you okay?” I didn’t hurt him, did I? I couldn’t figure out why he looked so tormented. Then it hit me.

“Oh, Tatsou . . . you didn’t.” My legs gave out as the realization of what he did—what I did—weighed me down.

“I’m so sorry. It’s the only way to protect you without killing your family.” I shook my head as he fell to his knees before me. My rapid breaths convulsed in my chest, and my fingers flew to my lips.

“You compelled me to drink from you.” My voice trembled as tears burst onto my cheeks. He made me . . . He made me . . . I repeated the words in my mind. I was so caught up in his admission of love and the beautiful sensations of his joining, I hadn’t recognized what he forced me to do. I sobbed.

“I’m going to become a vampire.” My body shook, as Tatsou nodded once. He changed me against my will. He knew I didn’t want to be a vampire.

“I’m so sorry, Kat. You father is going to hurt you to get to me. He knows who I am. You must be protected.” He pleaded with me to see his motivations, but I was too far inside myself to hear him. I was going to be a vampire. Dreams of growing older, having children, being in the limelight of fashion all faded like ripples in a pond.

“You should have talked to me about it, not forced me to drink your blood while we—” My devastation quickly turned to rage. How dare he make this choice for me.

“Unless I killed your father, he is never gonna stop trying to get to me. He will do whatever it takes, including hunt you down until your dying day. He knows you are my only weakness. Kat, please. I can’t lose you.” His hand lifted to touch my face, and I flinched.

“Take me back to the house, Tatsou,” I demanded, as I shot to my feet, my hands clenched in fists.
