"You're doing a good job so far, Alexander."
"When the food arrives, I thought we could eat it in my office, and then you can take some photos of the city beneath me."
"That sounds perfect." I watch the sun slowly moving down in the sky. It's beautiful, and this is such a great opportunity. I can see myself using some of these pictures again for other pieces of art.
I'm lost in the beautiful view when I hear Alexander behind me. He's been back in the office. "Food has arrived, are you ready to take some photos in my office?"
"I am. This has been such a beautiful experience, Alexander. Thank you so much. When I turn, he is right behind me and I don't wait for him to initiate a kiss, I reach up on my tiptoes, put my hands behind his nek and pull him down enough for me to kiss him. Thankfully, he kisses me back and it soon turns heated. He lifts me, and I jump so that I can wrap my legs around him. He walks me until I feel a wall at my back.
He's still kissing me, and I can feel how turned on he is, and I know that if he were to touch me, I would explode.
He leans back. "We need to eat before I do what I've wanted to do since the first time I met you."
"That was only last night. Tell me, Alexander… what do you want to do?" My eyes are wide as I stare at him.
"I'll show you later." He smiles and carries me toward the elevator. I try to get down, but he holds me tight. "No, not yet. I want you wrapped around me for a bit longer."
I laugh. "Okay, Caveman."
He laughs and it rumbles through his chest and against mine.
"I like the sound of your laugh," I say looking at him. "I'll do whatever I can to hear that often."
"You’re privileged. I don't laugh very often. You’ve elicited a few laughs out of me already." He carries me into his office, and I gasp when I see what he has done.
There are cushions on the floor and a blanket of some kind. He has laid the food out and places me on the ground.
"This looks romantic," I say, looking at him and then back at the floor.
"Yeah, I thought so. Takeaway isn't that romantic, so I spiced it up a bit."
I put the camera on the tripod and take a moment to look at the view again. It's beautiful; the hues of orange and amber from the sun setting are spectacular. I can't wait for the nighttime shots of the city beneath us.
He takes a seat on the floor, and so do I. "I'm starving. I can't wait to tuck in.”
We are both silent for a while as we eat. Then I catch him looking at me. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"I was just admiring the way you eat. You aren't afraid to eat because you enjoy food. Most of the women I've been with will order a salad and then just move it around a plate. I love a woman who appreciates her food."
"Are you calling me fat, Alexander?" I'm not annoyed, but I'm playing with him.
"Absolutely not." He puts his food down and crawls over to me. "You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met. I love that you want to eat food and not just play with it. It makes me happy." He kisses me and then he pulls away and he smiles. "I can taste the food on you."
"That's what happens when your date eats her food instead of playing with it," I smile and then realize what I just said.
He laughs. "Oh, so you think this is a date?"
"No, that's not what I mean," I roll my eyes. "I just ruined this. Sorry."
"Emily, when I take you on a date you will know it's a date. But I'm happy to call this our first date if you are?"
"I'm sorry. Don't feel you need to call it a date just because I said it. I know I am going to be working for you creating the artwork."
He kisses me again. "I think it is the perfect first date. We can tell our grandkids about it when we are old and gray," he smiles and then sits back with his food. I see a sparkle in his eye, and I don't know if he's joking or not, but he just said grandkids. On a first date. What the fuck is happening here?
I ignore his comment and just keep eating.
When we've finished, I start collecting everything together. "Stop, Emily. I'll do that. You take some photos of the view now."
