Chapter 1
Ahstahl
The sight of my mate thoroughly plowing herself with an impressively large sex toy in a woodland miles from civilization, and from all observations enjoying herself immensely, catches me by utter surprise. There’s no doubt in my mind that she is my mate. Her scent punches its way into the delicate olfactory glands along my snout, making my nose twitch, and the potency of her desire merely embellishes its impact. My forked tongue hungrily slips from my mouth, the organ allowing me to taste her on the air while my sensitive nose inhales her scent greedily.
A faint tingling in my chest alerts me to the beginnings of theanima tenetur. All the trials, victories, and accomplishments of my life pale in comparison to the poignancy of finding my mate. The comfortable den I share with Aercek on our home planet of Undatfonyh becomes a distant reality within the confines of my mind.
The possibility of returning home at the end of this hunting expedition is no longer an option available to me. Not currently, anyway.
How could I when the object of every desire is here, on this accursed backwater planet? Not to mention the fact that she hasthe faint scent of another male clinging to her, which rankles a bit and causes my snout to wrinkle with irritation. I need to com Aercek, myfrater vinculum, and let the other hunters know of our altered situation so they can inform my parents as to why I did not return with them.
But… I hesitate and allow my hand to fall back to my side. I wish to keep her to myself for just a little while longer. In all honesty, as soon as I tell Aercek about her, she will never be mine alone again, but here and now.
She’s mine.
Albeit from the faint scent of another clinging to her, she’s mine second, but at least the gods gifted me with the discovery of her.
I am not a being of high importance amongst my people, but I am a fit male, an expert hunter and warrior. My devotion to finding my mate is talked about by my brethren, and how when I finally findher, she will have the most devoted of mates. Myfrater vinculum’sdiscovery so late in life is somewhat of a disadvantage, as most males find one another as younglings. I figured that Roenom—the goddess of birth, death, love, and fate—had a plan in store for me. Even if her mate, Tegat—the god of mischief, as well as wisdom, agriculture, and war—decided to rut me over royally. Surely, it is he who decided myanima teneturwould be of a different species, and from what my nose is telling, was mated to another. During my growing years, each time I asked why I had no siblings when so many of my peers had multiples, my parents told me that all things happened for a reason.
My people, the Dewlvrkgnari, aren’t averse to sharing mates, or even sharing a mate with another species, as evidenced by havingfrater vinculums. It’s rare, yes, to find yours from another species, but it does happen. Finding one’sanima teneturin another species is far more common, even though itpresents its own set of challenges. Earth’s hang-up is that its inhabitants are blissfully unaware of the extraterrestrial visitors that frequent the planet for one reason or another.
That my mate is human poses a multitude of problems, and I am unsure if they will be surmountable ones. My people’s observations of this planet have shown thathomo sapiensare not always accepting of differences. Rubbing a clawed hand across one of the horns that jut from my maned brow, my claws catch in one of the many braids my dam plaited for me the morning I departed for Earth. Such a simple act hones the difference between my body and hers.
I’m nothing like the males of her species, and then there’s Aercek…
This routine hunting trip to Earth started as any other, but I truly hadn’t expected to see a human this far out in the wilderness. It’s part of the reason my people chose this location in what is known as the Rocky Mountains, on one of the more northern continents of the planet. It’s ripe with game that humans often squander, since modern convenience has made hunting asportand no longer an act of survival. Especially in this geographical location. The human population here is spoiled with modern conveniences, while a short distance away—by my people’s standard—people are starving to death, barely surviving. It’s an abrupt discrepancy, but not one uncommon within the vastness of the universe. Few species like mine care for the welfare of all our people.
A derisive scoff escapes me at the thought thathumanscould ever achieve the level of cohesion that my species does, and then silently curse myself for making that faint noise. It wouldn’t do to reveal my presence to my mate, moaning out her pleasure in front of me. Even though my presence is cloaked from her sight thanks to my superior technology, I don’t want to chance it. Invisible doesn’t equate silent. I send up a prayer to the godsthat my people are advanced enough to grant me the ability to observe my mate without her knowledge.
Not that she is really paying attention to her surroundings, something that I or Aercek or I will have to address with her. It’s not wise to let your guard down out here. I can feel myself getting hard the longer I watch her, and any compulsion I felt to give her privacy is gone. I’m not that rutting altruistic. As far as I’m concerned, the instant I saw her, she became mine and Aerceks.
She just doesn’t know it yet.
My eyes drift around the quaint, yet neat, campsite. Noting she’s set it up in a more than satisfactory manner, I allow my eyes to leave the delectable spectacle she’s making—scanning the area for immediate threats while perusing her site simultaneously. Her tent sits under one of the larger trees in a small clearing. The back of it borders a dense line of foliage, providing cover from the north wind and protection from the sky. Apparently, my mate has some sense when it comes to being away from civilization. What appears to be some sort of sturdy utility vehicle is parked off to the side out of the way. The sight fills me with relief. It’s good that she has a mechanized form of transportation in such a remote area.
Assuring myself we are truly all alone, and that Aercek or one of the other hunters isn’t lurking about, I refocus on the writhing female before me. I will never allow harm to come to my human. Her safety is paramount as long as she’s still completely human, but that is a problem for another time.
My eyes feast on her olive-toned, bare skin, and it pleases me to see that she is a buxom, full-figured female. Thick, fleshy thighs are parted wide to allow her plenty of room to plunder her delicate mauve center—which is surprisingly devoid of hair—with a bright blue toy. Dark, curly brown hair, the color of fertile soil, is strewn out around her, and she tosses her head backand forth in abandon as her long-fingered hands tweak the dark peak of a delightfully large breast. The color of her eyes remains a mystery since they’re both closed tight as she seeks out her pleasure. Sending up a prayer, I thank the gods that she is a tall, curvy female. I’m not a small male, but Aercek is massive even for our species.
Squeezing my hard members, I slowly allow their engorged lengths to slip from my lightly furred sheath, the knot on my breeding kauk already swollen with arousal. A soft hiss is the only sound that escapes me as my rough, scaled hand takes my sensitive flesh in hand. There isn’t much privacy on the small vessel that brought us to Earth, so I am past due for some sort of physical release.
In short, I need this.
Bad.
The scent of her pheromones inflames my ardor as she builds her climax. Since I’ve devoted much of my time to studying the physiology of every species my kind is compatible with—since there was never a guarantee our mate would be Dewlvrkgnari—I’m familiar with the anatomy of human women from the texts I’ve read. So, I’m aware of the clitoris, the pearl of pleasure that human women have, but being unmated, I’ve never seen one in real life. Until now. Considering humans are a smaller, weaker, and a vastly more breakable species, I never thought one would be my mate. But now, I’m thankful for my voracious literature appetite.
Her lush, round, pink mouth is open and panting out a taunting invitation I desperately wish I could accept. Instead, I rut my fist, one hand gripping the tree next to me, my talons sunk deep into the bark as I force myself to remain in place while my other hand vigorously pumps my length. The natural lubrication of my kind eases the way for my scaled palm. My actions mirror the toy she uses as I allow myself to imaginefeeding her one of mykauks. Inside the base of my sheath, I feel my balls tingle with the beginnings of my release as the scent of her orgasm blasts across the small clearing. Her sharp cry causes my body to clench, and seed erupts from the heads of both my throbbing members. Biting my tongue to keep quiet, I jerk to the side in time for my release to land behind the tree my free hand is gripping.
Spending my seed on the open ground in front of my human mate isn’t the way to introduce myself to her… even if it would be funny… eventually. Aercek wouldn’t think so, but he’s always lacked my superior sense of humor. Sides heaving with exertion, I forcibly slow my breathing as I watch my mate relaxes back onto the soft, fluffy material she’s lying on. An ache in my chest blooms as I watch from afar as she lies there, utterly alone.
Why is she alone if she scents of another?
Tucking myself back into my sheath, I slowly back away from where she unknowingly waits for us.
An evil grin pulls at the corners of my mouth. I have plans to make and afraterto shock.
