“Vince.” He sounded insanely out of breath.
“Mario? What’s wrong?”
When I asked, Katya quickly started to get dressed.
“I was on my way out to meet with one of our suppliers and someone just ran me off the road. If I hadn’t been more reactive, I would have died,” he explained. “It wasn’t an accident. Ilocked eyeswith the person trying to hit me.”
“Did you know them?” I asked.
Katya came over, now dressed, and sat down in one of the chairs facing my desk, and I flipped my phone to speaker so she could hear.
“I didn’t recognize the driver, but I recognized the passenger,” Mario said. “It was Shaina, the Jack for The Wreckers.”
