Seven months later…

Shaded by an expansive umbrella, I’m lying atop a blanket on the private beach of one of the Moretti villas. I’m wearing a bikini, all the better to show off my ever growing baby bump. It’s not like there’s anyone around to see, though—well, except for Massimo. And honestly, he’s all the audience I need.

I’m writing a musical phrase on staff paper—it’s a new piece I’m working on. I have a mini electric piano beside me. It’s nice to finally be able to test different notes on a real piano as they come to me. Plus working out here on the beach is really inspiring. The ocean is my muse—if I ever get stuck, all I have to do is gaze out across the waves and the music comes. Making love to Massimo also works.

When I get back inside, I’ll try this song on the grand piano and then record the notes into my sequencing program. I have a whole rig that Massimo picked up for me. He’s basically turned the entire family room into a recording studio.

I hear a speedboat. I glance at the sea and watch the craft approach. Luciano is driving, while Massimo and Rosa are in the passenger seats.

When they wash ashore they all come over to say hi.

“How’s the little one?” Rosa asks. “Has he kicked yet?”

“Only once,” I tell her.

Massimo drops to his knees so that he’s in the shade with me. He rests a hand on my belly and gives me a quick peck.

“I just felt him kick!” Massimo claims. “He’s jealous I’m kissing his mamma! Little guy wants all the attention!”

I roll my eyes playfully. “Riiight.”

“Do we know if it’s a boy or girl, yet?” Rosa asks.

“Definitely a girl,” I tell her.

“No, it’s obviously a boy,” Massimo interjects.

I laugh.

Rosa smiles. “You didn’t check?”

“No,” I tell her. “We don’t want to know. I mean, we want to be surprised.”

Rosa nods. “Surprises can be good. Especially in the baby department.”

“Well, we’ll leave you two lovebirds,” Luciano says. “If you need anything, we’ll be in the kitchen.”

Massimo gives him a thankful look, and when the two are gone he cozies up to me mischievously. “How’s work?”

“So it’s work now?” I ask him. “I thought we agreed it was only a hobby?”

“A hobby that pays,” he replies.

Luciano, our resident crypto art expert, had converted some of my music into something people could buy at a crypto auction, and the pieces sold for quite a bit of money, much to my surprise and delight.

I shrug. “Still feels like a hobby to me. Since I obviously don’t need money, and have everything I could possibly want. It’s just nice to feel validated. That my work is worth something.”

“I can help you feel validated,” he replies, his voice low, animalistic. He tilts toward me so that his hard cock presses against my thigh. “Make you feel worth something.”

I feel the heat rushing to my cheeks. “It is nice to feel wanted.” My voice comes out hoarse, breathy.

He caresses my bare belly while staring wolfishly into my eyes. “Junior needs some company I think.”

I hold his hypnotic gaze. “Would you like to pay him a visit?”

“Fuck yeah,” Massimo replies.

He presses his lips against mine. His tongue darts through my lips, and he sweeps it around my mouth, exploring, claiming.
