“Fuck! I’m going to cum. I’m going to-uh!” she screamed, absolutely squirming, the orgasm exploding through her hard, just as I felt the tension settle inside of me, the veins of my arms starting to surface as I held her there, thrusting my dick intensely fast, right as I filled her up with my warm load. That was the only way I knew to end my night on a high note, because the fun was over now, and it was back to that hell hole for me.

The evening felt like a dream,as I spent the day doing an array of mundane tasks, making sure that the Andreyev Warehouses were stocked with necessary artillery and crates of drugs that were to be sold over the next few months. It was business as usual, and for the first time, I truly didn’t worry about the next time Mr. Andreyev was going to have me kill one of his enemies. I could relax for a moment, enjoy the lavish party that Mrs. Andreyeva was throwing herself, and try to pretend like I had something to look forward to. They were such an interesting dynamic, because there were times I was absolutely sure they hated each other, and others where they behaved like they were newlyweds, even though Mrs. Andreyeva was quite knowledgeable about all of Mr. Andreyev’s mistresses.

I wondered why she would stay with him, condone his sick and twisted behavior, but I knew it all came down to how much money he had. I could see the slight glint of wishful thinking behind her eyes, and the wonder that stemmed from dreaming of a life that was completely unlike the one she was currently living, but she and I both knew she would never try to make it on her own. It was evenings like this one that drew me back into the lifestyle, that made me want to reign over my own empire, but I knew that as long as I spent my time working for the Andreyevs, under their guise of care, kindness, and opportunity, I would amount to nothing that would make my family proud. It was tonight that I decided it was time to start searching for that opportunity, or at least something to take my mind off of the worry for a little while. If Anton can occupy himself with a woman that he fancies, then so can I.I thought, making my way to the shower in my ensuite bathroom, to get ready and suit up for the evening, brushing back my hair, and fixing my tie.

I headed downstairs to see that the foyer was already filled with people in expensive dresses and freshly-pressed suits with glasses of champagne in their hands. Everyone seemed to be having a lovely time, and it wasn’t until Mr. Andreyev caught sight of me, did I realize I didn’t even see him since I left to get the job done. He had the largest grin on his face, like I’d done everything he asked, and he was going to reward me greatly, as if in his mind, attending the party wasn’t already more than enough. I approached him, while he bid goodbye to the men he’d been talking to so he could give me his undivided attention.

“I heard from my contact at the police station that everything was quite gruesome, and you managed to get my money back, which I’m undoubtedly grateful for. You’re the only one around here that doesn’t seem to disappoint me, Rurik. You have to know that I appreciate everything that you do,” said Mr. Andreyev, handing me a glass of champagne while he tapped me lightly on the shoulder before making his way to the rest of his guests so she could spend the rest of the night mingling. I looked behind me to see Anton standing there, and it was quite strange to see such anger in his eyes, but the one thing he couldn’t take was to be under appreciated for everything he’d done for Mr. Andreyev. He put his entire life on the line for a man that didn’t seem to care about him anymore, and that was usually far too much for him to take. He walked off without so much as offering me a single word, and I could already tell that he was going to take it out on me the moment he had the chance, but it was a worry for another day. I just wanted to enjoy my night for a change.

I glanced around the room, looking out at all the people that were praising Mr. Andreyev for all of his business accomplishments, pretending like they had no idea that the rumors were circulating that he had his ties to the mafia. He tried to keep that under wraps, but as much power as he did have, and as much control as he had over the vast majority of people, he couldn’t stop people from speculating. He just had to do his part to show his face to the general public, pretend like the rumors were simple nonsense that those who envied him had to have come up with. It was working for now, but I could only imagine that he wouldn’t be able to keep up the ruse forever.

“Excuse me, I’m not sure if you can help me, but I’m looking for Anton,” said a beautiful, warm voice from behind me, tapping me lightly on the shoulder. I stared back at the brunette, wide-eyed girl, and I instantly knew that it had to be the girl that Anton had been seeing.

“Why yes, he’s right over there,” I said, pointing in his direction. I watched his entire face light up the moment that he laid eyes on her, and I thought for a second that I truly never felt like that about anyone. I’d been so caught up with work my whole life that I never so much as dabbled in the idea of love, but if someone like Anton could let his girl waltz in here, then I was sure that there had to be hope for me as well. So, that is the girl that’s got him wrapped around her little finger.

“Thank you, my name is Larissa,” she said, shaking my hand lightly.

“The pleasure is all mine, Larissa. Please, call me Rurik.”

I watched as she walked off in Anton’s direction, as their arms interlocked and he led her away from the crowd. I already knew what he was about to do, and it was the kind of thing that always happened at these sorts of parties even though no one would even dare to mention it. I tried to keep myself preoccupied, searching around for anything or anyone interesting that caught my eye, but I couldn’t help but look over at Mrs. Andreyeva who was clutching her pearls again, talking to a mysterious man that I’d never seen before. I knew just about everyone that she did business with, and it was strange to see a fresh face all of a sudden, but I decided it would be best to introduce myself the minute their conversation concluded. I wondered if it was another one of Mr. Andreyev’s recruits, another man that couldn’t pay back his dues, and now he had to do as the family says indefinitely until they deemed him useless. If that were the case, it was probably a good idea that I tried to befriend him before things got too complicated and we were pinned against each other like I’d been with Anton the minute he decided to choose pursuing this life for good instead of helping me look for a way out.

I grabbed another two glasses of champagne off of one of the passing silver trays that the wait staff had been carrying around for the guests, approaching him while he smiled at me, trying to keep a straight face, but I could already tell that he was quite frightened. I remembered that look, as it was etched into my brain from the time I wore it myself, realizing that my life was over as I knew it, having to work for the Andreyevs until I could find a way to protect myself. There was a lot about this man that reminded me of myself, and I wondered if I would have a better shot at saving him from the inner turmoil, the way I wished I would’ve been able to do for Anton. My only hope was that this woman he’d been seeing would change something in him, making him see that there was a part of his life that he stopped chasing a long time ago, and that if he wanted to continue pursuing her, then he’d have to find that determination again.

The man in front of me gulped, while I handed him a glass, and it was just like the moment I met Anton for the first time. I didn’t know what was in store for me, or what I had to endure, but at least now I was in a much better position to help this man, and he may very well be the ticket to getting us both out of here and out of the Andreyevs’ grasp for good.

“Good evening, I’m not sure I’ve seen you around here before. Have you taken up residence here as well, working for Mr. Andreyev?” I asked, casually, watching people walk past, glancing over at us, as though they wanted to hear every little bit of our conversation.

“I am. My name is Vanya,” he said, glancing down at his shoes, like he was afraid to make eye contact with me.

“It’s okay, Vanya. I know that things may seem a little difficult right now, and that you feel like you have no other choice but to do what Mr. Andreyev and the rest of his army says, but I’m telling you that there are some of us that are still in your shoes. Keep your head up, do what you have to do to survive, and don’t let anyone around here sway you into thinking this is your forever. I’ve seen it happen to far too many men that have walked in and out of this place, and I know from the moment you walked in here, you’ve been trying to figure out how you’re going to get out. We can help each other, but you have to keep your head up for now,” I said to him, practically whispering in his ear, and I could see the expression on his face completely change.

It was as if he didn’t know how to process what I had just said, like he wasn’t expecting to find someone like him so soon, especially because he’d probably been dealing with men like Anton since he got roped into all of this, but I knew that if I had just another person on my side, that we could train, we could observe, and we could get ready for the fight of our lives. I could tell from the look in his eyes that all he wanted was to experience his freedom again, and I was determined to give that to him, if he would help me as well.

“Thank you. My apologies, I didn’t quite catch your name,” said Vanya.

“My name is Rurik. If you need anything, you come and find me. I don’t know if there are any more men like us, any that actually want to get out of this place again, but take it from me, you’re going to have to do a lot of things you don’t want to do to survive. The moment we get the chance, or find a way out, we will take it, but right now you have to keep up appearances,” I said to him, and he nodded like we were just discussing something lighthearted, like how wonderful of a party it was.

“I don’t know how else to thank you. I’ve been so scared,” he said, and I knew that I was taking a risk by even bringing it up to him because there was always the chance that he would take this information straight back to Mr. Andreyev, but I had to do it if it meant I could save one more man from having to endure what the rest of us had been through.

“Keep your head up. They can smell fear from a mile away. I’ll be in touch when we have a chance to talk in private. Until then, enjoy the festivities, or at least pretend to,” I said, tapping him lightly on the shoulder while I finished my drink and disappeared right back into the crowd.
