“Several lawsuits will be coming your way, as well, as I’ve offered my lawyers’ services to the young women who have beentroubled by the two of you.” I reach out for my angel’s hand and find it cold and clammy. That haze of red comes flashing back. “And as you have so pointedly told my little elf, I shall tell you. Get.Out.”

The cold menace in my voice is barely restrained, and the only reason I am not threatening to just end them is because of the woman sitting beside me staring at me with wide, shocked eyes.

“Now.”

“This…this is preposterous! You…she…,” I raise my eyebrow at the woman who just isn’t getting the message.

I step back and allow Denver and a few of my security to come in to escort the two of them from the building. Ronald Dent’s eyes start bobbing back and forth, and he tries to grab for things on his desk, but the two big men on either side of him halt his progress.

“No worries, Mr. Dent. Anything that belongs solely to you will be mailed to you in due fashion, and everything that belongs to the company…stays.” That includes the ledger he was so eager to grab, the one that probably has all the evidence of their crimes in it.

When the two of them are dragged out of the office, the room erupts in clapping and cheering. Apparently, the two of them weren’t well-liked by anybody who worked here. I slowly shut the door and shut out all the noise as the two of them are led from the building. I have complete faith in Denver’s ability to handle this, and I have other things I need to take care of.

“Are you mad?”

I think about her question and tone down my anger for her. “I’m upset, yes.”

If I were any madder, I would have killed them and buried their bodies in the swamp.

“At me?” Her face is full of worry and has me down on my knees before I can stop myself, not caring who sees me like this.

“Never.” I brush back her hair to check on the bandage on her head. “Only concerned. You shouldn’t have left this morning, angel. You might still have a concussion.”

“I didn’t want to wake you after you stayed up with me all night. I didn’t want to…”

“Be a bother.” I finish for her. She nods and reaches for her head. “You are never a bother. You are something I absolutely want to worry about.”

“Oh.” It’s a whispered sigh that fans out against my lips as we are drawn closer and closer together until my mouth is on hers and I am lost to everything else.

I wait patiently as she sinks into the kiss and starts to play with me. My hands drop to her hips, and I pull her even closer, her sweet thighs parting for me at the same time her mouth does. By the time Denver knocks on the door, I have pulled my little angel into my lap and buried my hands up under her skirt so I can squeeze her soft, curvy ass in both my hands.

“Enter.” I wouldn’t tell anyone but Denver to come in when my hands are on my angel and her cheeks are flushed red and her lips swollen from my kiss, but he’s practically family, and I have no intention of holding back on the PDA in front of them.

“Oh.” It comes out trembly, and she tries to rise from my lap, but I don’t let her. She eventually gives up and offers Denver a weak smile. “Um, hi again.”

“Ma’am.” He has a lop-sided grin on his face before turning his attention to me. He is the reason I was alerted to my little elf going on the run this morning when he called me right away. He's getting a big bonus this year! “We should go if you want to make the appointment on time, Luka.”

Shit! How could I forget?

“Right.”

“Appointment?”

I sit her back in the chair and stand so I can help her up. I help her straighten her clothing before brushing my mouth against her cheek and taking one final drag of her sweet scent.

“I set you a doctor’s appointment with one of the top neurological doctors in town, so we can make sure you are healing well.”

“The top neuro…Luka, I can’t afford that.”

“No need to worry about that.” Not considering she now owns a business that makes a decent-sized income yearly. I put the company I just bought from Ronald’s grandfather…inher name. Old Jack Dent liked the idea of keeping it a family company, and with my guidance and help, my little elf will never have to worry about money again. Even if she wants nothing to do with it, I know all the right people to make sure it still makes a profit for her.

“There are other things we have to do today as well.”

“There are?” I give her a big smile and nod.

“If the doctor says it’s okay, we have to go shopping.”

And I plan to spoil the hell out of my little elf. I’m going to pull out all the stops to make sure that by Christmas, which is only four days away, she will love me. Then I will spend the rest of my life trying to make sure she loves me even half as much as I love her. Lumi doesn’t know it yet, but I am all in. I want everything with her. The same last names, the baby, the white picket fence, and the nights filled with passion and love.
