Rehab today? How do I explain it? Fucking insanely brutal torture. That’s what it was. My body was screaming in pain while my mind screamed for release and Gracie.
I was worried, she’d said she would be back for my session and lunch, but I haven’t yet seen her.
I also couldn’t shake the sick feeling which had settled deep in my chest.
The nurse wheeled me into the shower in the therapy room.
“I can take it from here thanks, doll.” I looked at the nurse, I didn’t want her to assist in any way. The only women I wanted seeing me naked was Gracie.
“You sure?” She looked down at me with curious eyes.
“Yeah, I’m sure.”
I wheeled myself into the cubicle, turned the faucet to hot and wheeled back so I could undress. The nurse placed two towels on the bench and a shower chair was nearby.
“It’s my job, Lieutenant, I honestly don’t mind.”
“I said, I’ve got it.” My patience snapped when she touched my shoulder lightly and I flinched away. away from
The chair jerked forward and my body screamed at the movement.
“Fuck,” I gritted out.
“You’re hurt, you need my help.” I cringed at her touch and words. “Look lady, I said I’m fine now just f…”
“Hey, he said he’s fine, aye?”
I snapped my head around to see Brad. I’d never been so happy to see his ugly face. He sounded annoyed that I was being ignored.
“I’ve got it from here and that number I said I wanted; you can keep it.” He pushed in, ushered her out the door and slammed it closed. He cracked up laughing as he turned and looked at me.
“Shit, bro, she could have had her wicked way with ya crippled ass if I hadn’t shown up.” He slapped his hands on his hips as he laughed.
“Hahaha, prick, very funny. I can’t help it that I’m a stud.” I laughed with him while thinking of how she’d made my skin crawl.

Brad wheeled me back to my room after the shower, exhaustion had me feeling weak.
“I’m so fucked, bro.” I stared at my best friend as he helped me onto my bed.
“Sure you are, that’s why I’m wondering about asking you to train my boys.”
He laughed and pulled his phone from his pocket.
I glanced over to the desk in the corner.
“Can you pass me my phone?” Worry was eating at me.
Brad picked it up and biffed it on the bed next to me. I hoped Gracie has texted me.
Unlocking my phone, I found nothing. Blank. No calls. No texts.
“Something up, Kade?” Brad frowned at me over his phone.
He knew me well and would have caught the change in my breathing.
