His tongue danced lazily around her, drawing intricate patterns over and over. She realised he was watching her expressions and listening to every single moan, using her reactions to decipher which actions drew the most pleasure fromher and repeating the movements that she enjoyed the most. He was taking his time to learn.
Adriana fell back against the hay, her hands coming down to entangle her fingers in his hair, trying to pull his face even closer to her. He was teasing her, playing with her just as he’d said he would, but she needed more.
He grabbed her wrists and pinned them to her sides, lifting his face away from her. She whined at the loss of contact and gave him a frustrated look, but he only smirked at her, his eyes darting to the receding storm outside the window above her head momentarily.
“You’re soaking wet for me,” he said, out loud this time instead of in her mind.
Her eyes rolled back as he blew against her, his husky voice only adding to her arousal. He let go of her wrists and she felt one of his hands reach between them, his fingers lightly massaging her. She threw her head back as she whimpered, her body felt as if it were teetering on the edge already.
“Tell me, Adriana, does your stable boy make you feel like this?”
“No,” she almost sobbed, as two fingers slowly slipped into her, his other hand reaching round to push down on her stomach, keeping her in place for him.
“Does anyone else make you cry with need? Can anyone else make you as wet as I have?”
Adriana shook her head. She was too lost in his touch to give a verbal response, too lost in his words to concentrate on anything else but him.
“Good girl.”
Xander’s mouth lowered once again, his tongue resuming its intricate circling whilst two of his fingers pumped and curled inside her. She felt the familiar knot in her stomach build quickly, the same pressure she’d felt at times with Jonathon orwhen she’d been alone in her bed and explored her body with her own hands. But this time was different, this time she felt it build higher and stronger. Xander’s fingers and tongue moved in harmony, and when his mouth closed around her, sucking harshly, she came undone.
She cried out, her hands gripping his hair, her body arching almost painfully. She felt every wave of uncontrollable bliss with every firm swipe of his tongue, every harsh thrust of his fingers. At that moment, she felt inexplicably wonderful.
His fingers curled inwards, seeming to know precisely how to draw out every last trembling drop of pleasure. She moved her hips against him, a slow, deliberate grind to amplify the exquisite pressure of his mouth. The soft stubble along his jaw scratched against her inner thighs as she rode his face.
He gradually slowed his movements when the sensations became too much for her, her loud moans dying down to soft cries. When he was finally finished, Xander withdrew his fingers and placed them in his mouth, sucking them clean with a low moan as if it were the most delicious thing he had ever tasted.
He crawled back over her, brushing a strand of damp hair away from her face, and kissed her tenderly. She could taste herself on his lips.
After a moment, he pulled away and she found him gazing down at her with an expression she had never seen anyone wear for her. It was similar to the way Thomas used to look at Striga, or the way her father would stare at portraits of her mother. It was a look she never thought she would receive herself.
“You are ethereal,” he told her in a soft voice.
She looked down and noticed her entire body hummed with a faint warm glow. The light of a Luciferus.
“I do not think I can stop it,” she mumbled. “Not when you make me feel like this. My feelings are my weakness.”
She tried to cover herself and sit up, to put some space between them so she could gain control of herself, but he used his body to press her back against the hay.
“It is good that you feel deeply,” Xander told her, his hand cradling her face. “It is a human quality many do not possess, including mortals. As Daemons, with the power to inflict harm, it is important to know our emotions. What we acknowledge as our weaknesses, we must turn into our strengths.”
“Back to lessons so soon?” she giggled.
He gave her a wink and swiftly rose from the ground, pulling her to stand with him before silently fixing the buttons on the front of her sundress and brushing the straw out of her hair. She began to reach for her underwear but Xander quickly swiped them from the ground and dangled the silk in front of her, his signature smirk back on his face. As she reached for them, he snatched them back, taunting her, and stuffed the undergarment in his pocket.
Adriana couldn’t hide the shock from her face as she looked at the silk poking out of his pocket. Nor could she disguise her eye roll as he tilted his head to the side in a pitiful act of innocence. He was obscene.
“Come now,” he said, with a smile. “We have training to be getting on with.”
Chapter ten
To See All of You
Adriana
Adriana enjoyed being at Duran Manor. She had known it was a beautiful house when she had visited Divina as a child, and she had seen some of its new charm at the ball. And though she had passed it on rides round the lake while Xander had been gone, she hadn’t really been able to appreciate the beauty of it in the daytime until recently.
Xander had offered the use of his home to train, knowing Adriana would need somewhere to rest quickly if she ended up burning out. Her strength in her light was growing day by day, but every now and then, she tipped over the edge and her control slipped. Those occurrences were usually a result of them arguing again, which in turn regularly ended with Xander kissing her to calm her mind and letting her rest in his study before they’dcontinue with her defence and dagger lessons. But he had never taken it further, not since all those weeks ago in the barn.
