A long, ragged groan leaves my mouth as I fight for control.
“Donovan?” She looks up at me, those silver eyes wide, and I swear I almost spontaneously combust. That’s it. I can no longer fight this ferocious urge.
And honestly? I don’t want to. But how to…
Wait! I’ve an idea.
"Tee. Get on my back."
She looks up, surprised. "What?"
"Cosmo might go feral," I lie. "He's unpredictable. I need to get you to safety."
“He might go feral?” Max’s cousin growls. “Fuck, yes, get her to safety. Please.”
Gotcha.
“Exactly. Safety first." I kneel, offering her my back. She goes to scramble on but pauses, turning to look at the white-haired giant. They lock eyes for a second—an intense, silent look that makes my hackles rise.
Theo walks towards him, putting a soft hand up to his cheek as she nods, and says, "I will."
Will what? And I don’t like the way she’s touching him. It’s making the magic in my blood pound.
“Let’s ride, Tee-Tee.”

My nymph cannot be alone with the centaur.
He is unknown and untested.
But so is the Drakeward demon threat.
—Can you trust him?—
“Hey,” she whispers, holding my chin down so I look into her beautiful silver eyes again. “Donovan and Wes were the first two people I ever fell in love with, you can trust them, I promise.”
—They are the men you love—
“They are, but they are not the only ones who…own my heart.”
—The professor—
“Yes, Alexis is special to me, but it’s not just him, it’s you as well, Lu.”
Theo reaches up her small hand and trails it down my cheek.
I close my eyes and drink in the foreign feeling, filing it carefully away as a sensation to treasure, not to shrink from. It’sbecoming easier to differentiate between a sweet caress and…the opposite.
For a moment longing makes me dizzy and I can’t unscramble my thoughts. A few seconds ago, the touch of her fingers had been the ultimate prize, but suddenly I wonder if I could ever have more. I want so much more.
“I know it’s weird to say I have strong feelings for four different men,” Theo says, “but it’s the truth. It’s like you are all mine, and I need you all.”
I am hers? I hear her words but it takes a moment to comprehend what she’s saying.
Unworthy as I am, Iamhers.
Yes.
