Inside the house, people began the countdown. Their voices carried through the house. From all the houses on the block, they heard the countdown. Eamonn didn’t know what the new year would bring for them. He was scared, but that was what made all adventures worthit.

“I love you,” Eamonn said. “I should’ve said it when you left. I bloody love you somuch.”
