“I like it when you call me that,” I confessed.
His fingers trailed my jaw. I wanted to jump onto his lap, but what if I did and got it all wrong? Or worse. Did it all wrong.
My skin was on fire.
I closed my eyes and inhaled. That was a bad idea because Troy was all around me. His scent, the warmth coming from his big body.
When I opened my eyes again, he was so close our noses almost touched.
“Lexi, may I kiss you?”
I closed the small distance between us until our lips touched. If I thought my skin had been on fire when all he’d done was touch my face, now I was ready to combust.
Troy’s lips were just as I’d imagined. Soft and so damned kissable. He gripped my waist and pulled me until I was straddling him on my bed.
“God, Lexi. You feel so good.”
I moaned. What else could I say? I didn’t even know what words were anymore.
He broke the kiss.
“Not yet. I’m not ready,” I gasped before kissing him again. This time, I opened my mouth and licked Troy’s lip. The noise that came out of him as he let himself go and met my tongue with his could only be described as claiming.
His scruff scraped my skin, but I didn’t care. I needed more of this. I’d waited so long.
The sound of people talking outside my door, followed by the key, brought us back to reality. I jumped out of Troy’s lap like I’d been electrocuted.
I didn’t miss the clear outline of his erection before he covered it with his jacket.
“Hey, boo”—Jett stood there staring at us wide-eyed—“I can go…” He turned around.
“No,” Troy said. “I need to go anyway.” Then he turned to me. His pupils were still blown from our make-out session. He smiled, biting his lip. “Pick you up on Friday morning, boo.” And then he was gone.
I fell face-first on my bed and laughed into the blankets.
“Did I just walk into what I think I just walked into?” Jett asked, jumping over me and sitting against the wall with his legs over mine.
“Hmm.” I nodded.
“Turn around, boo. I need to knoweverything.”
I had to take several deep breaths because my dick was refusing to go down. Maybe I should shower and take care of it before I faced the American inquisition from Jett.
A hard slap hit my ass. “Hey, I’m waiting.”
I turned my head to face him, and since he was practically sitting on top of me, I could let my body go back to its typical state in its own time. Although recounting what had just happened to Jett wouldn’t help one bit on that front.
“I don’t even know where to start, Jett. I bumped into Troy after we ended our call. Like literally bumped into him.”
“Oh shit. How about the meeting?”
“Got canceled again.”
He huffed. “That’s not very professional of them. I’m sorry I recommended them.”
“I’m not. If I hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t have bumped into Troy.”
“So what happened?”
