He stood up and kissed me. I moaned as I tasted myself in his kiss.
“My turn.”
He stopped me from going down. “Save it for later.”
“Hmm, will we make it to the bed this time?”
He chuckled, sucking a mark on my neck. “We’ll see.”

Noah was relaxed throughout dinner with his family. The tension from this morning seemed to have vanished, which was a relief.
There were still some looks thrown our way from Victoria’s family, but it was more important to me that Noah’s family accepted me as his husband. And even better, that they’d forgive him for keeping it a secret.
Ellie sat next to us, with Emery and Lex.
She couldn’t be more different from Victoria. With her colored hair and bright clothes—Emery mentioned she made them herself—she was a ray of sunshine.
The kids also loved her, asking her a bunch of questions about all kinds of things, which meant our table was a rotation of people coming over to chat. Even Adam stopped by for a bit while he was doing the table rounds and being attentive to Victoria’s family.
“I’m going to send your cousin an invoice,” Ellie said when Megan and George left us for the third time after drawing pictures of Ellie’s dress and asking her to pick the best.
Emery rolled his eyes at his best friend.
“What for?” Noah asked.
“For having to engage with little terrorists while off duty.”
“She’s an elementary school teacher,” Emery said for my benefit. “I don’t know why she moans so much when I caught her lesson planning in the bar earlier.”
“Snitch.”
“Who’s up for hitting the local bar?” Adam asked when he returned. “With all due respect, Ellie, your family is hard work. I need a drink.”
“Why do you think I’m sitting withyourfamily? No one told you to pick the wrong sister, mister.”
Adam laughed. “You’d break me by the third date.”
She nodded smugly. “You wouldn’t last that long.”
“Hey, I’m sorry Victoria was a bit difficult about you bringing someone. I get why you didn’t want to have to choose. You know how it is in these situations. The groom doesn’t get an opinion.”
Her smile had an undertone of resignation. It reminded me of Noah in all the times he thought he wasn’t the person his family wished he was.
I was starting to see that he was so wrong. Not that he’d believe me if I told him.
“I called a cab,” River said, joining us. “I don’t want to think about your parents’ restaurant catching fire while I’m not there, so please, let’s get some drinks in me.”
“I’m not drinking, so if anyone wants a lift with us, be my guest,” I said since Meatball had joined us. Harrison and Fletcher had already gone up to their suite with the kids, much to their arguing about it being a party and that granted a later bedtime.
Ever since I’d sucked Noah off in the shower earlier, I’d been counting the minutes until I could be inside him again. But I’d happily admit that going out with Noah and his brothers and being free to put my hands on him gave me ideas.
Twenty-four hours ago, we’d been skirting around each other, knowing we wanted something we couldn’t have.
Now? I was addicted.
“I just need to pop up to the room quickly, and then I’ll be ready to go,” Noah said.
