He runs his hands over his hair. “She said your boss wants to talk to you on Wednesday.”

“That is true. He’s given me a few days off, but he probably just has a new case for me, which obviously I can’t take now.” I stop for a moment. “Holy shit, Mr. Jones is going to be so upset when I quit.”

“Why would you quit? You love working there. Apart from Brad Dick, of course.”

I laugh. “Because I’m going with you to Europe. Wasn’t I clear on that?”

“I’m not going to Europe.” He grins.

“You’re not?”

“No.”

“But what about George?” I ask.

“He’s not going either.” Fletcher’s light-blue eyes meet mine as he kisses me lightly on the lips. With every touch, a fire ignites inside me. “Harrison, I’ve fallen so deep and hard for you I don’t think my remains will ever be found. Maybe—”

“Yes. Fucking yes, baby.” I kiss him hard, and we hold on to each other with the force of two people who have found exactly what they need, even when they weren’t looking for it. Because I certainly wasn’t. “If you’ve fallen, then look at me because I'm right here beside you. I'll always be here.”

“Even when I’m old and my teeth fall out?”

I laugh. “Yes.”

“Even when my farts smell so bad they make you gag?”

“Yes, but I promise I’ll remind you of your dental appointments so your teeth will never fall out, and we’ll look at what you’re eating so your farts never smell.”

“You’re a charmer.”

“I’m yours. That’s what I am.”

He pulls my shirt up until we need to stop kissing to remove it. “Let’s go to the bedroom.”

“Are you expecting someone?” I ask.

“Hell no.”

“Then let’s stay right here. I’ve wanted you to fuck me on this couch ever since we came here the first time.” I trace his neck with my nose, inhaling his scent until I’m lost in his hair. “I want to feel your long cock fill me up while I look at the dark sky and the stars outside.”

He shivers. “You really want that?”

“Yeah.”

“Stay here.” He stands, and I follow him.

“Wait.” I grab his arm before he leaves to grab the supplies. “It's been a while since I've been with someone, and I've tested negative. Do you think we can…”

Fletcher pauses, taking in my words, and I can see in his eyes that this is the point of no return for us. “I'm negative too.”

I pull him to me until he lands against my chest with a thud, and I take his mouth for a hungry kiss. “Go get the lube, baby.”

He runs over to the bedroom. I double-check the front door to make sure it’s locked and open the curtains on the double doors leading to the deck.

I wasn’t lying when I said I wanted to see the stars, and with Fletcher inside me with nothing between us, I’ll be feeling them too.

My clothes are in a pile on the floor when Fletcher comes back, already naked too.

“How efficient of us,” I joke.
