The three of them are still arguing when I start feeling light-headed and woozy. I grab hold of the kitchen counter as Chase tries to take a swing at Matthew, but Ash and Riku jump in between them.
“Whoa, okay, I’ll go.” Matthew holds up his hands, looking at me with a glint in his eyes as he blows me a kiss. “I’ll catch you later, Countess.”
He and his group of sycophants leave the kitchen, and Anna claps her hands. “Excellent! Now that the trash has gone, let’s do some shots.”
I feel a little dizzy and like the heat in the house has suddenly been turned up. I peel off the light cardigan I had on over my strapless top and throw it on the counter.
“Well, don’t you look gorgeous tonight?” Evie raises her glass while eyeing me. I’ve got on a corseted, red satin, strapless bodysuit and a pair of skinny jeans tucked into some long boots.
“Thanks, babe, you look pretty good yourself. I recognize that dress,” I fire back, draining the rest of my pink drink and looking around for another.
“A Jacinta Summers original, of course. When I saw it, I just knew I had to have it.”
I smile at her compliment but can’t seem to find any more of the pink drinks. “Ash, honey,” I call, running my hand down his back to get his attention. He spins around, surprise on his face before he recovers.
“Yes, snookums?”
“Where did you get that drink from? It was really yummy, and I want another one.” He frowns and peers around the kitchen.
“I’m not actually sure. Matthew handed them to me when I first arrived. But there’s a blue one over there.”
I pout a little but step forward to grab one out of the tub. Unfortunately, the move isn’t as smooth as I wish it was. Chase catches me when I stumble, which should be at least a little embarrassing, but all I can do is giggle.
“Shit. That drink has gone right to my head.” Chase smiles and helps me upright again. “Actually, I might use the bathroom first.” My head is really spinning now, and I’m starting to panic, thinking that maybe Ash’s coke wasn’t a good batch.
“You want me to come with you?” Ash asks, and I shake my head.
“No. I’ve got Riku. You stay and be with our friends.” I lean up and give him a kiss, nipping him on the lip. Fuck, now I’m feeling horny as hell, like I could get down on my knees and blow this man. Actually, what would be even better is if I had a dick in each hand, swapping between them. Would Riku be up for that? “But don’t go too far, alright?” I wink at him, and he gives me a strange look.
“Okay, babe, be safe.”
I wave my hand and stumble away from them, Riku, my faithful shadow, just a little bit back from me.
I’m greeted by familiar faces and acquaintances from various Neighpalm represented bands. The elite of California is quite incestuous when you think about it. A giggle escapes.Incestuous, that’s a funny word.
I weave my way through the crowd until I find stairs leading up. I’m sure there’s a bathroom up there somewhere, and maybe I can get a breath of fresh air. I’m so fucking hot. Fanning myself, I walk up the stairs. On the landing, I hear a commotion, but as I go to turn around, I’m grabbed, and a hand is slapped over my mouth as I’m dragged backward into a nearby room.
I try to scream, but it’s easily muffled by whoever is covering my mouth. Suddenly, it hits me. The coke wasn’t bad. I’ve been fucking roofied! Dread infuses me, and I stop, my fight-or-flight response completely broken.
“I’ve got you, you stuck-up bitch, and while my guys are keeping your bodyguard occupied, I’m going to see what all the fuss is about. The good thing is the Molly and Rohypnol are going to keep you begging for more, and there’s no chance you’ll remember it in the morning.”
Vomit surges up in my mouth, but it can’t go anywhere thanks to Matthew’s hand, so I have to swallow it back down. I struggle a little more, but my body becomes deadweight as he throws me onto the bed and rips down the bodice.
“Well, I’ve got to say, Jacinta, your tits are some of the nicest I’ve seen in ages, and all real. How about we cover them with my cum to start with?” I hear the zipper come down on his fly as tears well up, overflow, and run down my cheeks. I try to call out, but all I can do is mumble, and no one is going to hear that over the noise of the party.

Iwatch, smiling, as Jacinta wanders away from the group in need of a bathroom. Riku stays behind her as her silent, reliable shadow. She’s so cute, but what a lightweight. That one drink barely contained any alcohol, and she’s hammered enough to be stumbling.
Which, now that I think about it, is weird because I haven’t seen her stumble all week despite everything we’ve been putting into our systems.
“Don’t you think, Ash?” Selena’s voice grates on my nerves, but it drags me back to the conversation.
“I’m sorry, what?”
“We were just talking about next week’s polo match and the afterparty. I’m sure you and Jacinta will have lots to celebrate if your team wins.”
