Picking up my lighter and ashtray, I head out onto the balcony and light up. I don’t feel guilty about indulging anymore, nor do I care if Penelope catches meorif Stacey is watching. I smile as I think about how things are going to change now that I know about everything. Penelope better not get too comfortable pushing me around.

As I sit and smoke, my mind drifts just a little bit as I think back to the beginning of the day. It doesn’t seem as dramatic now through the fog of weed, but I will be forever grateful to Louise and Gwen for giving me a heads-up. They could have chosen to say nothing, so I just hope that it doesn’t bring the wrath of Stacey down on them. My mind drifts to the two new students who I assume I’m not going to be able to help out. They were an attractive pair, so I’m guessing they will get swallowed up into Nikki’s crew. I just hope they are both strong enough to survive the backstabbing and cattiness that will come with being at the top of the social ladder.

My mind drifts to Gio and the love of his life. I hope he takes Dad’s advice and writes to her or keeps in contact and she wasn’t a candle in the wind. Even though he’s still young, he’s been a man whore for a long time. It would be nice to see him in a relationship, acommittedrelationship. At least then I might have a chance at remembering her name. I also liked her, which is very different from how I usually feel about the skanks he hangs out with.

“Victoria!” Penelope screeches, and I groan. Fuck, with my room facing the back of the house, I hadn’t heard her come home. “Whose car is parked in my spot, and why is your car parked in your father’s spot?”

A grin crosses my lips as I wait where I am. She can fucking come to me. I hear the door to my bedroom slam open, the hinges whining with the force, and within moments, Penelope is stepping out onto the balcony. She starts to say something but sniffs, and her face turns red.

“Drugs? You would do drugs inmyhome?” she shrieks, but I just keep puffing away. In fact, I turn my head and blow the smoke in her direction before holding out the joint.

“Want a toke?” I ask, and she screeches again, this time slapping it out of my hand before squashing it out under the toe of her designer shoe.

“Well, shit, what a waste of perfectly rolled weed.” I stand up slowly, not willing to have her look down on me, but that backfires because the bitch is taller than me in her heels.

“You are a disgrace—a whore and a disgrace if what I hear is true.” My hand twitches with the need to hit her, but I need to practice not reacting to shit, so I keep my resting bitch face in place.

“I guess it takes one to know one, doesn’t it, Penny? I mean, that’s essentially what you are for your family, isn’t it? A way of buying their way up the social ladder?”

She flinches like I’ve stabbed her with a knife but quickly recovers. “Why don’t you ask your dad about my whorish ways? He certainly never complains.”

“I guess he has needs, so why not make use of the cum receptacle at home?” Her hand lashes across my cheek. It stings, but it’s hardly worth getting upset about.

“Oh, ouch.” My sarcasm can’t be missed, and as I watch the fury flash in her eyes, I decide I want to stoke the fire even more. “My car is in the garage because I’m assuming that’s where the girls left it when they returned it for me. As for the one in your spot, that’s my little gift from Dad.”

Her cheeks flush even redder in her anger.Burn, baby, burn. I smile as I push past her and step back into my room. I’ve got a nice little buzz going on, so I decide to finish packing before heading over to the new place. But first, I’m going to fuck with my stepmother a little more. I move over to my desk as she follows me inside.

“Don’t think you’re going to get away with this. Your father will come to his senses. Imagine a femalecapo, and a lesbian one at that. Your grandfather would be rolling over in his grave. Mark my words, you will not succeed, and when you don’t, I will ensure he marries you to a man who will make you scream, and not in a good way.” She pauses in her rant when she notices the gun in my hand that I tap against my leg. Her eyes widen, and she pales slightly, but then she straightens her spine. I’ve got to give it to her, she has some brass balls.

“Okay then. Why don’t you just run along now. And Penny, when I do succeed, I will make sure that you will be taken care of as well.” I wink and aim my gun at her. “Pew, pew.”

She screams and ducks, and I snort, unable to hold back my laughter.

“You bitch!” she screams and runs away as I set my gun back down. Oh my God, that was so much fun. I shake my head as I go into the closet and grab a handful of underwear before returning to shove them in a box. I really am twisted, and I think that maybe it’s not all Stacey’s fault.

ChapterSeventeen

“Who the fuck are you?” The sound of Penelope finally cracking is music to my ears when she finds Sage, Gio, and me eating takeout and playing video games in one of the lounges downstairs after she arrives at the house later that night. It’s even sweeter when Gio explains who Sage is and that he lives with us. She stomps her feet and tears at her hair, messing up her perfectly coiffed do.

“Over my dead body!” she screams, and both Gio and I pull out our guns and place them on the coffee table in front of us.

“That can be arranged,” Gio says calmly, not taking his eyes off the TV screen. Gio has never put up with Penelope’s shit, but she’s never really given him any. It must be because he is male. Sage and I are racing around a track in Mario Kart, trash talking one another while Gio waits for his turn to play the winner. I didn’t bother telling him about my run-in with her earlier. It’s a common occurrence for me.

“We willnothave a dirty, low-life drug dealer—”

Sage doesn’t look up from the screen as he interrupts her. “I prefer to think of myself as an entrepreneur, thank you very much, and I don’t deal the product,I make it. I’m higher up the food chain.”

Gio and I snicker, and I take my eyes off the screen to watch her reaction. It’s priceless. Penelope just gapes at us, looking like one of those largemouth bass.

“Your father will hear of this,” she threatens, and I roll my eyes as Gio turns to look at her.

“Who do you think set Sage up here in the first place? Don’t be daft, Penelope. Know your place.” He turns back around, and she screeches again before storming off.

“Well, that was fun.” Sage chucks his controller at Gio when I beat him over the finish line. “What does your dad see in her?”

“Alliance,” Gio answers at the same time I say, “A warm hole.” The boys both grimace, and I shrug.

“I’m going to bed. I have to go shopping with that woman tomorrow, and I need all the sleep I can get so I don’t shoot her in the face.” I pick up my gun and slide it into the back of my jeans, the action getting easier now. “And possibly some good weed first thing before we head out.”
