Back to the program.
My phone rings again, followed by hers.
I grumble.
We both get out of bed.
I head towards the console and Harley runs downstairs.
I snatch up my phone and frown at Erik’s message.
Kazimir Lindström stuns crowd at the Active Kids post charity luncheon at swanky The Fifth rooftop bar when he dips his date Hollywood-style—the same blonde bombshell who tipped our gossip meter yesterday—and kissed the living daylights out of her. The former hockey player, known for his impressive strings of hat tricks, scored a big one today. With that searing kiss, he put an end to the rumors. Ladies, there’s a lot more than ice running through that man’s veins. It’s as if a volcano had been brewing inside that beast only to erupt in all its glory for us to witness.
A kiss like that was destined to go viral. Same for the jaw-dropping red dress the mystery blonde was wearing.
Kaz’s new girlfriend is good for him in a way his ex-wife never was.
I’m calling it first. Devlyn’s claws are about to come out. Never mind she’s a cheater, but she isn’t one to be dethroned that easily.
Signing off to the tune ofLady in Red, Chris De Burgh’s 80’s smash hit. So fitting for Kaz’s new girl.

Chapter 33
That kiss wasn’t fake
Harley
Ciara forwards another photo of Kaz and me.
I blink.
I’m stunned by the fairytale imagery.
It’s like having an out of body experience.
That girl in the expensive red dress who’s getting kissed to the point where she’s running out of air isn’t me.
That girl is worry free. On top of the world. She has her shit together. She isn’t carrying any baggage.
If I saw that photo hanging on the walls of a New York gallery, I’d put it on my wish list. I’d want to own it because it would be the kind of far-fetched dream I’d never be able to achieve in real life.
Ciara
I thought you said you were involved in a fake relationship. Explain.
Harley
I thought you were having a late lunch at Nik’s parents’ place. Sounds like you were spending too much time on JustSpotted.com
Ciara
We were. Since my bestie is fake dating a high-profile former NHL player, I put an alert on his name so I can stalk him. You can never be too safe.
Ciara
On the way back to our place, my phone pinged. When I saw that photo, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
