The car descends.

The woman with gray hair pulled back in the low chignon, wearing a blush-colored suit decorated with the iconic Chanel buttons turns her head, her brown eyes meeting mine. “Can’t say I blame you, honey. If that beautiful beast of a man was mine, I’d climb him like a tree any chance I have.” She winks.
The three other men chuckle.
Kaz pulls his lip between his teeth as he analyzes the ceiling.
My cheeks flame up, and I’m certain the color competes with my dress.

Kaz opens the door.
With his fingers laced into mine, he guides me inside. “Your place or mine?”
I frown up at him.
“Your bedroom or mine?”
I laugh. “I’ll let you decide.” I drop my clutch on the console.
He leans into me. “I want you in my bed, Harley.”
The intensity in his blue eyes is unsettling.
I can only nod in response.
He cradles my face before taking my mouth into his. He tastes like brute strength and feels like a safe haven.
