“No.” She twirls her long blonde hair back into a knot at the back of her neck before letting it drop back over her shoulders. “I just need to make a couple of calls.”

“Okay, well, I can head down to the lobby and work from there if you need the room,” I offer.

“That’s…actually, that would be great if you don’t mind. I thought I was on top of things, but now, having two of my sisters just hanging out while Lila and I work…it’s a little more stressful than just Bryn.”

“Why?” I ask, not seeing the distinction between the two.

“Bryn travels all the time for work. I figured she would just hang out in the hotel with her laptop while we’re at the stadium, and then she can hang out with Jameo or some of the WAGs she’s gotten to know since starting to date Jameo. Izzy should actually get out and do things.”

“I’m sure Izzy knew what she was in for. She seems pretty easygoing.”

“She is. I just… I’m worried I’m going to let something slip if I get too busy—start thinking about too many things.”

“Your sisters are adults. I’m sure they’ll figure it out. But, if it’d help, I can put together an itinerary for them for while we’re working, just in case.”

“Could you? That would be great. I know they’re grown-ass women, but if you leave travel planning up to the two of them, they’ll just walk around downtown until it’s time to eat. And even then, they’ll just wander until they find something they think is interesting, or they get so hungry they just stop at the first place they see.”

Even though Kelsey is more of a planner than I am, I can’t fathom that level of uncertainty. “Well, we can’t have that. Anything they do or don’t like?” I ask, pulling up an app on my phone to take notes.

“Nope. That’s part of the problem. They’re remarkably indecisive.”

“I’m on it,” I say, grabbing my backpack with my laptop.

“Hey,” Kelsey says, causing me to stop. “Thank you.”

My response is cut off by her mouth pressing to mine. I lean into the kiss, reaching around to grab a handful of her strong ass before letting her go.

As I make my way toward the elevator, my phone buzzes with a notification.

It’s from Trent.

Trent

Can you meet me in the lobby? I needto talk to you.

Well, shit. I guess Trent is coming to Australia. I’m not getting sick and tired of him randomly popping up places. Not at all.

Trent

We have two potential clients on the line, but both are dragging their feet to see if we sign Jaxon first.

We need a game plan to win Jaxon so we can get these other two.

Chapter twenty-six

Kelsey

“Okay, buthearmeout,” Bryn says between bites of her brekky sando as we sit in the restaurant of our Sydney hotel. “What if you came to the golf tournament with us for a few hours? Just a few. And you got back before the concert even starts.”

“Their tee times are too late,” I object for the third time that morning. “I’d miss part of the full team meeting.”

Having Lila and my sisters around has been a lot of fun, and even though Carter wasn’t able to hang out with us as much as he wanted to, the last three days have gone smoothly. Both Melbourne concerts went off without a hitch, despite Trent’s unexpected arrival and the disruption his presence and constant idiotic suggestions caused. Thank goodness he brought his wife and her gaggle of friends with him to whisk him off to the beaches that I won’t get to set foot on during this trip.

“I know it would mean a lot to JT if you came,” Lila says, offering the only argument that has any sway over me.

JT went through a lot last season, and Idowant to be able to support him. I was so frustrated we weren’t able to make it to Sydney in time for their first round yesterday. Fortunately, we’d been able to go out for dinner as a group. Unfortunately, Trent wanted to review staffing with Carter, so he hadn’t been able to join.

I know everyone will love him, but I am a bit anxious to see how he’ll mesh with everyone, including the guys who have quickly become part of the family.
