It would appear to her that shifters had hard bodies that were easy to gawk at. His chest was rippled with muscles, tanned and slightly hairy. Her fingers touched the skin, letting the short, curly hair tickle her fingertips. He pulled his boxers down while she touched him and it jumped out at her, touching her leg and making her gasp.
Christin practically ran into the shower, knowing that if she had to stand there much longer, looking at all Broch had to offer, she wasn’t going to be able to turn it away. She was going to desperately cling to him and beg him for everything that he had to offer, which was quite a bit from where she was looking.
She turned her back to him and the opening, putting her face into the water and letting it wash away her undying desires along with it. Christin wasn’t going to be able to deny herself if she didn’t pull herself out of it.
Christin heard him coming in behind her, the door shutting loudly in her mind. She felt his hands on her and she shivered.
“You are just helping, remember?”
Chapter 15
Broch
Broch had no idea what was going on with Christin. He was standing there, looking at every perfect curve and inch of skin. Christin was prancing around him now, an hour after she had run off and never looked back.
Broch had to get the phone, and when he’d left, Christin was burning up with desire. When he got back, minutes later, she was dressed and taking off into the woods. It wasn’t viewed as odd to him that she ran to the woods. That was where he went, but he was a shifter. It should have made more sense to him, though Broch wasn’t using much of his brain to think about that. At the moment, he wasn’t using much of his brain at all.
Christin’s skin was soft white, and she was far more muscular than he had thought. She wasn’t a wisp of a thing, but powerful and lithe. She was opposing qualities, all together, and he was unable to keep his eyes off of her. She slapped his hand away when he touched her again, telling him that he was just supposed to be helping.
Broch grabbed the soap and started to make bubbles. He was rubbing it in his hands and then over her skin. It gave him the excuse that he wanted to touch every inch of her, focusing on her most intimate place, when she was moaning and writhing against him. Christin was moving her hips to the rhythm Broch had started and she must have forgotten her own rules, because Christin backed up against him, her ass toying with his own desire. Broch slipped between her legs, rubbing her as he rubbed her another way, with another part of his body. Broch could feel the tension building up in Christin and he wanted nothing more than to release it.
Her legs were opened wide, allowing him full access, but he didn’t push in like he wanted to. Broch was focused on giving her the relief that she surely needed. He didn’t need her to tell him that she hadn’t been touched in a long time. Broch wondered if she had ever been touched properly at all. She was too close to an orgasm, too soon. It came upon him without warning, pushing her over and making his cock leap with the splash of hot need.
Christin whimpered when he moved his hand away and he had to hold her up for a moment to steady her. Christin was just as surprised, and she was shaking against him.
“Are you okay?”
She agreed, but her eyes wouldn’t meet him. “I think I’m about as clean as I am going to get.”
Broch wanted to stop her. He obviously wasn’t done, but something told him not to push it. She was going to be a few doors down. She wasn’t going anywhere.
When she steadied herself, he watched her get to the room and look back, but he didn’t follow. Christin was working through something, and her release was sweet enough to tide him over a little longer. Broch didn’t know what to think of anything, but he knew that he would be inside of her soon enough. He was going to have to be patient, something that he usually wasn’t, a quality that he lacked, but Broch was going to wait. Something told him, Christin was worth it.

He got another call when he was trying to get to sleep. It was from Leonard again and he sounded like he was having a worse day than Broch.
“Slow down, man. What’s going on?”
“They have attacked the warehouse, Broch. That’s what’s going on. There was also an attack at the elder village. This is serious. Two are dead and they need their leader. Someone is fucking with us, Broch, and we can’t let it stand!”
Broch could feel his own anger rising, but who was it that was doing it? He asked Leonard if he knew, but there was still no answer.
“I will be there in a few.”
“Don’t drive, get here quicker.”
Broch agreed and he looked toward Christin’s room. He didn’t want to leave her again. She seemed to not like his departure if it wasn’t known. He went to her room, pushed the door open and called to her softly. He’d only left her a little while ago and since he was so jacked up, Broch expected her to be awake. She wasn’t though, already passed out in the middle of the bed, the towel creeping off of her in the most delicious ways.
Seeing her like that almost took away all of his desire to do anything else but crawl in the bed with her. Broch was full of need and desire, his cock painfully hard, but he left the room as quietly as he had arrived. It wasn’t the time for that, and his control was slipping, his inner wolf wanting to possess Christin more than anything else. It just wouldn’t do. It was just that simple. It wasn’t going to work. He couldn’t be around her right then, so he left to go see Leonard, sure that he would be back before the morning broke.
Chapter 16
Christin
She woke up a little after sunrise. Her body felt marvelous, and she did as well, until the reason came crashing back. Christin then felt a wave of embarrassment and she couldn’t believe what she had done. Her plan had been to shake her nakedness in front of him, get him all worked up like she had been and then walk away. The whole point was to make him feel the denial that she had felt. That hadn’t happened though.
Broch had used her own words and scenario against her, though she was the one in the end that felt pleasure. She had exploded with it and her face turned red just thinking about it. That was nothing like what she and Phillip had done together. For an instant, she felt like she should feel more upset, like she was gipped from a large part of married life.
