“I suppose that we should do whatever you feel comfortable with. It is a good thing that you already know Ethen and you guys are already close. It won't be so strange when we tell him the truth. That is, if you want to. I don't know what is going on with you. Are you with someone? I don't want to get in the middle of your relationship if...”

“You really don't understand anything, do you?”

He pulled her in suddenly and made her yelp in surprise. Before more words or questions could come out, he kissed her deeply, something he'd been dying to do ever since he’d seen her at the bakery. All of the pent up need and emotion took over, making it all overwhelming. It made her weak in the knees.

When he pulled away, she was a little off kilter, and he had to hold onto her to steady her.

“It’s good to know that I can still kiss you in a way that makes you need help to stay on your feet. I have not been able to forget about you all this time. There is no one else. You're not messing up anything. I’ve been waiting for you, wanting a family.”

He moved to kiss her again and Mallory knew that she should sidestep him. She should do anything in her power to keep his lips off of her, because once that happened, there was no going back.

Thankfully, some hunters in the woods drove them back toward the Academy. There was something left undone and unsaid, but Mallory didn’t think she was ready for it. It was becoming too hard to keep up with all of the mixed emotions she was getting. Her body wasn't too happy about it, either.

Chapter 19

Vincent had a lot to take on, but surprisingly it wasn’t all that hard for him. He was convinced that it was all working out like it was supposed to. It took him a little bit of time to get over the fact that Mallory had kept it from him for so long, but he understood her reasons. He didn’t have to like it, but he understood it.

Her telling him that he was the father of Ethen was probably one of the best days of his life. It was emotional, he’d actually cried, but it was perfect. He had a feeling come over him that he had never felt before her. Everything was perfect.

To Vincent, their little family was ready to be together. He wanted Mallory to move in with him, and she said that she might soon, but she was still living with Laura. Laura had decided to go back home with her parents, but there was a couple more weeks until she was going to do that. Mallory had made it clear that she wasn't going to leave until then. They were close and Vincent wouldn’t get into the middle of it.

The problem was that he didn't want to wait, either. They had not been together in years and he had not personally been with a woman that actually satisfied him in almost the same amount of time. Mallory had left her mark on him, making it impossible for him to forget her. Now, they were both a little older and wiser, but he was not anymore patient, it turned out.

In that vein, Vincent invited Mallory to lunch. He knew that she was off from the bakery and he told Nathan that he was going to take some time off. Only a few hours, maybe more. Vincent had something more planned and when he went to pick Mallory up, they didn't go to the restaurant.

“Where are we going?”

“We are going to get something to eat.”

She looked apprehensive but didn't say much else until they got to his place. She asked him again what they were doing there, and he said that he had been hungry for a while and he needed to abate his hunger.

“You're not talking about food anymore, are you?”

“No, I'm not. If you're going to tell me that I'm wrong, I will turn around and we’ll actually go to a restaurant. But you're not really hungry for food either, are you?”

She shook her head slowly and he smiled back at her. For a moment, he was afraid that she was not going to go along with it. Vincent didn't know if he would have been able to handle that. It was already hard enough trying to deal with being around her and not being with her. He had his heart all set on it and if she backed out of it, he was seriously thinking that he might explode.

They got out of the vehicle and he took her arm in his hand. She smiled at the gesture, but part of her thought that he was merely doing it so that she could not get away. That was his biggest fear at this point, that she was going to go somewhere, and he would be unable to get her back.

Vincent wasted no time, practically jumping on her when they got through the door. She made a surprised sound and he pushed her back against the wall in the entryway. They didn’t even make it but a few feet into the place, his foot kicking the door closed as he moved to touch her.

Mallory was shaking. He could feel her body trembling against him, but he knew that it was a good thing, at least, that’s what he thought, anyway. Her mouth was kissing him back, her tongue playing with his. Her hips were grinding on his front and making it hard to think.

“I forgot how lively you were.”

“I didn’t forget much, Vincent.”

She hiked her dress up and turned around in his arms, facing the wall and sticking her ass out. He was eying the smooth skin, watching her twitch it back and forth. He growled and his eyes radiated need. His hand came out and smacked her ass, making her call out and turning him on to no end.

“I have missed this ass.”

She blushed and looked away. Vincent moved to make his own need free and it flopped into his hand, ready to be of service. Sliding up against her, he tapped on it several times, hearing and feeling the wetness that now took over. It was more than he was ready for, his own desire pushing him forward. He wanted to tease and tantalize but realized that he couldn’t be made to wait another second. Vincent had waited enough in his life for the things that he wanted. He wasn’t going to wait anymore.

Pushing in slowly, he pulled her hair back, so that she looked back, and he could kiss her. The deeper he got, the easier it was and soon he was swallowing her cries of pleasure. He remembered them well and it did the same thing to him that it did before.

A frenzy of desire came over him. It was full of raging hormones and with that came a faster pace, one that left him breathing hard and driving deep. Mallory was beyond reason, coming quickly. She felt like she hadn’t been touched in years, suffocating his length as he tried to push forward. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t figure out how to slow down. Vincent wanted to make it last but knew that there was no way that it was going to happen. It just felt too damn good.

Her body slammed against the wall with each push in. Her insides were milking his length, making him call out with his own release, only minutes after they had started. He cursed under his breath and yanked out of her.
