Taylor woke up to the sun’s warming rays filtering through the window. Rose lay asleep next to him, her beautiful hair sprawled on the pillow. Taylor leaned over and kissed her shoulder, saying, “Wake up, sleepy head. It’s the finals.”
Rose rolled over, the blanket slipping off her beautiful smooth skin.
“Five more minutes,” she replied, not opening her eyes.
Taylor kissed her cheek before getting up and heading to his kitchen. He prepared a cheese stuffed french omelette with a strong cup of tea. He set it on a tray before bringing it to Rose.
“Hey. I made you breakfast,” Taylor said.
Rose turned over and opened one eye, debating between food and sleeping. Food won and she finally got up, taking the tray from Taylor.
“Thank you, this looks lovely,” Rose said, taking a sip of the tea.
Taylor watched her eating, sipping his own cup of coffee. Last night’s memories assailed him, and he leaned forward and said, “Last night was pretty magical.”
Rose smiled. “Yes, it was. I know you don’t remember that time from three years ago, but you should know, you have improved.”
Taylor raised an eyebrow. “Are you saying I wasn’t that good three years ago?”
“Well, I am not saying you were bad… but I am not saying you were good either. You have definitely honed your skills these three years,” Rose said, teasingly.
“You know, Jacob said that the sex you have with your mate is the best ever,” Taylor said.
Rose laughed and said, “Are you trying to say that you haven’t really improved but my senses were clouded because you are my mate?”
“No! I didn’t say that,” Taylor replied. Rose was having a lot of fun teasing him and she laughed. Her musical voice echoed through the room. She crawled over and snuggled next to him, resting her head on his chest.
“Jokes aside, it was magical with you. I am glad I am yours,” Rose said, looking at him lovingly.
Taylor smiled at her, his heart swelling with warmth. “I am glad I am yours too. You make my life better,” he said, softly caressing her cheek.
“Today are the finals. Are you ready for this?” Rose asked. “I won’t go easy on you! You asked me to give my best shot and I will!”
Taylor laughed and said, “I hope you do give it your best shot. You have gotten really good the past few weeks, but let me remind you that in our last practice session, I slaughtered you. You lost badly. There is an incredibly low chance you will win this, especially because you don’t have your strongest weapon.”
“My strongest weapon?” Rose asked, frowning.
“Yes. Your will power. You survived the last few matches because you refused to give up. You had something to prove, so you pushed yourself. This time, you don’t want to win as badly. Without your will power pushing you through, this will be easy,” Taylor said, teasingly.
“That’s not true. I promise you, as your mate, that when I get in that ring to fight you, I will do it to the best of my abilities. I will fight you as a true opponent. I will make you work for that title,” Rose said.
Taylor kissed her cheek and said, “Thank you. Now how about you go put some clothes on? We have a championship to go to.”
“Alright. I have to meet up with Delma and Anna first though. How about I meet you there?” Rose asked.
“See you there,” Taylor said, spanking her ass lightly. Rose rolled her eyes and walked away.
Taylor got dressed and headed out. He was stretching when Dominque walked in and sat down next to him.
“I must say I was a bit worried about who might be possible candidates as the captain of my army, but I am equally happy with both of them," Dominque said.
Taylor raised an eyebrow and said, “Is this a part of my ethics test or something?”
“Maybe,” Dominque said, smiling. “Or maybe that will come later. I saw you hanging out with Rose yesterday. You both seem to be getting along well.”
Taylor smiled and said, “Yea. Things are finally working out.”
“I am happy for you. I gotta go. Bellatrix is waiting for me in the audience. I would wish you good luck, but I am not sure I want you to win and for your ego to inflate,” Dominque said.
