My boys are across the room talking to my father, who is laughing at something River has said, and it warms my heart seeing them fit in so well with my family.

River is always the one who flirts just to make you smile—he has a soft heart filled with love for anyone who needs it. And Theo, well, that man surprised us all when he went public withour relationship to stop a competitor from getting one up on him in the press.

He got some hate for it, but with River and me beside him, he got through it. Thankfully, most of the public did not care who he was in love with, and neither did any of his partners.

Life is fucking good.

But it could be better.

“You ready for this, big brother?” Cormac asks as he and Ridley join me at the bar.

“Born ready.” I wink, making him groan, and he rolls his eyes.

“Always with the cheese, brother.”

I nudge Cormac with my elbow, making him laugh.

“I am happy for you, man; they are good for you,” Rid adds.

“They are. Fuck, I have never felt this happy before, so I am ready for this next step.”

“What will you do about kids in the future? I heard Mom asking River, and he gave a vague answer,” Cor adds.

Watching my boys laugh with my father, I see Lanie run over to River, who smiles down at the little girl, smoothing his hand over her hair. I know he loves that little girl like she was his own, and I do believe that he would be a good father one day. We have had a short conversation about it, and right now, neither of us wants kids.

“We are happy, just the three of us right now,” I explain.

“Fair. I love my nieces and nephews, but I am not sure I am cut out to be a dad,” Cormac admits.

He is a great paramedic, and I know he is all about his career. I just happen to know that he likes a certain ER nurse, who one day might change his mind.

“Colt, honey, it is time.” I smile, seeing my mom step to us men.

I whistle loudly to get the room’s attention.

With the Christmas music playing, the million and one Christmas lights twinkling, and the fire roaring across the room, everything looks fucking perfect for what I am about to do.

My heart fills with love as both River and Theo turn to look at me.

“Come here,” I command, my voice deep, and both boys know to listen to their Daddy.

River is dressed with his usual flare, in green plaid pants, and a red plaid vest over a black dress shirt. Theo is wearing a maroon long-sleeve dress shirt tucked in tight black pants. They make his ass look so good.

Me, I am in my usual black suit, but for River I added a red tie with white snowflakes on it.

They walk toward me and the music lowers to a light hum. The chatter stops as everyone’s attention comes to the three of us in the room.

Silverpine is not a judgmental town, so we are thankful that we were accepted as a thruple.

Stopping right in front of me, I see my family, along with Miss Patty, Neve, and Lanie, all close in.

“Is this what I think it is?” River giggles in a high-pitched sound, making everyone laugh.

I sigh, shaking my head with a smile on my face. Theo leans in, kissing his cheek.

“Babe, can you give the man a chance to speak before you ruin his effort?”

They only call me Daddy when we are in the bedroom or at home. Out in public, I am Colt or some endearment they want to use. No fucker needs to know what we get up to in the privacy of our bedroom.
