I was both pissed but not surprised to see Theo missing from the bed this morning, and I am torn over what to think about it.

My Colt side of me is pissed that he fucking bolted without a word, but my Daddy side understands that this was his first time and as first times go, it was pretty fucking intense.

River left an hour ago, leaving me with a searing kiss and orders from me to eat some breakfast and shower, but he was not allowed to come until I was there. He was upset that Theo ran, but I could see concern for our boy in his eyes, so he kept his thoughts to himself.

That is something we will all have to have a talk about. Nothing is to be kept hidden; we all talk and share everything. If things are kept hidden then we won’t work out.

Simple.

Taking Theo’s virginity was a fucking honor. It made my heart and soul happy that he let me be the one to do it. I have a feeling that Theo is hiding something, which is why he has never fucked a man before.

Something that he once said has me thinking, and that is that his work life and his personal life must be kept private. I was hoping that last night was a turning point for him, and he would open up to us over breakfast. Well, that was my plan anyway, but clearly he got in his head and ran.

My phone starts to ring from where it is on the kitchen island, and picking it up, I see Cormac’s name.

“Morning, baby brother.”

“Colt, you need to come to the hospital. Theo was found this morning, a few yards from Miss Patty’s house, fucking frozen. He was on the ground, not sure if he fell or was attacked. I just saw him in the ER, got the details, then called you.”

“Fuck, I am on my way. Thanks, brother.” I hang up and run back up to my bedroom to change. I call River as I am running.

“Miss me already?” he purrs.

“Sorry, baby, this is not a pleasurable call. Theo was found close to Miss Patty’s house; he was unconscious, and he was taken to the hospital. Cormac just called to let me know. I will pick you up in ten. Be ready, baby.”

“I will, Daddy.” I end the call, pulling on black jeans and biker boots. Slipping my leather jacket over my hoodie, I collect what I need and run.

“Cormac called. We will meet you there, honey.” My mother meets me at the bottom of the stairs, a worried look on her face.

“Thanks, Mom.”

I reach my bike and pull my helmet on, then fire her up. Kicking the stand back into place, I peel out of the driveway, the guards nodding to me as I pass. I will question them later.

Making it to River’s place in record time, he doesn’t wait for me to come to a complete stop on my bike before he is jumping on behind me. I growl disapprovingly, but he waves me off.

“You can spank me later. Theo needs us.”

He is right. I slap his thigh in warning, then we are off again. It takes less than ten minutes to get to the hospital. That is the good thing about small towns— everything is close together.

Parking my bike, we remove our helmets and run inside.

My brother Cormac meets us.

“Colt, River.” His lips twitch, but he says nothing.

“How is he?”

“Patty is in with him now. He is fine; he woke up in the ambulance. He said that he slipped and fell, banged his head pretty good. Got knocked out. They are waiting to take him for scans, but so far he looks okay.”

“How long was he out in the cold?” River asks.

I look at him, his voice quivering in fear for our boy. Sliding my arm around his waist for support, I look back to Cormac. He is looking between River and me, probably wondering how we do not know why Theo was out in the cold when we never came back to the party last night.

Shaking my head lightly, he dips his chin in understanding.

“From what we can gather from his timeline, maybe three hours.”

“Oh God.” River gasps, his hand going to his mouth so I pull him tighter to me.
